This looks a lot like the Villainous board game.

I'll have to replay the game through to try to replicate this error so I can find it then. Til then all I can recommend is avoiding mountains? :p Thanks for pointing it out, I will see if I can locate the problem, but it may take some time.

This is very unusual! I loaded it up and tried to recreate the problem with multiple rivers and caves and couldn't seem to get it to happen... Are you SURE you're running the most recent version (V1.6)? The patch was posted two months ago, and if you got it from itch.io it should be the most up to date version. I've had problems with the canoe in the past, but I really thought I'd solved them by this point.
