It is the cliffs that throw it off for me. They really stand out in a bad way.

I'm just not fond of VX to begin with, because of the autotiling and whatnot.
At least 2k/3/XP gives the illusion that not everything is square.

Energy Drinks or Pills are your only alternatives.

Without doing exercise, or buying tastier coffee(lol) I would say Energy drinks and pills would be the best, faster way to get energized in the morning.
Those little energy capsule things are great if you're on a time crunch.
