Which battle type is good for you?
Sideview is mine. But I'm more of a real-time kinda guy. But combine real time with stuff like in Valkyrie Profile 1's battle system... gawd... I can still dream... -_-;
A perfect example would be FFX-2's battle system... we need more of those... the closest thing is the RTAB for rmxv and rmxp. While it does fufill my requirements... I'm no expert in the scripting department, and I'd so wish to tinker with that a little more...

Something happened...
This put production behind by at least half a month now... great... now I got to re-animate, remake the monsters, parties... ughh... this only serves as a lesson in the future... but doesn't mean I'm still gonna like remaking this crap again. Thanks for the assistance.

But how did it happen, that's all I wanna know now... I'm pissed as fucking hell that I lost a lot of my database, but I want to know to prevent it in the future.

Okay... time for explination first.
I tried closing down rm2k3, and it wasn't closing down like it should be, instead it gave me the not responding thing... I just did a force shut down thing... a few hours later, I opened up my game... and I noticed a lot of my stuff was black... and the RPG_RT.Idb was 0 Megabytes, I looked at a slightly older folder of mine... and it had a higher numbuer of MB... did the force shut down cause my RPG_RT Idb go stupid or something else...
And is there a way to recover it? I lost a hefty amount of data... and I would NOT like to make it all again...

A montage of thoughts about several games
J-Thought time...
-FFIX was incredible for me, it ranked 2nd as my favorite FF. I liked how they went back to their roots instead of the whole sci-fi thing, they did it well in FF7, but not as well in FF8 honestly. The characters give me the same vibe as FF6's with a hero who can steal, one who can use sword attacks etc. Great game, now if only they'd keep makin' those games with that kind of setting...
-FFVII... the game I call the first timers RPG game. Most people I know started on FF7, I started on FF6. (Technically I started on FF1, but I wasn't aware of what the game was since I was still shittin' green.) The game was good, but not perfect. I did like the materia system though.
-Earthbound was the first actual RPG I played durin' my youth, and I was hooked instantly. I loved everything about it, the characters, the music, hell the funky visuals when you fight the enemies were great. I treated this game as my bible for the longest time... til' I played FF6.
-FFV ranked 3rd on my favorite FF's. I'll agree with a lot that the story wasn't all that great, but I loved it nonetheless. The job system is what made me love this game so much. They need to make FF's with this system more often. FFX-2 did it perfectly, but if only it wasn't so girly.
-FFVI is not only my number 1 favorite FF game, but it is my favorite game of all time. Everything about it was awesome, characters, music, visuals, the settting, EVERYTHING. This was in my mind the perfect RPG in my mind.
-I played Chrono Trigger a lot in my younger days, nowadays I can't get myself to complete it as much anymore. When the DS version came out, I didn't play it that much. But don't get me wrong, Chrono Trigger is a great game, just take my advice don't play it 100 or more times... it'll start to bore ya.
-I really liked Chrono Cross... I felt that its story was a little deeper than Chrono Trigger. Some parts on the game were a little frustrating, but other than that, I think this game was made well... with the exception of a lot of the characters.
-I never played Xenogears personally, so I don't know that much... all I know is that F** is the only ballsy hero I know other than Tr**** from No More Heroes. Actually gets some. Heh heh.
-Heh heh heh... FF8... *slits wrist*

What Videogames Are You Playing Right Now?
Finished what I wanted to do on Tatsunoko vs Capcom... I have now developed a major hatred for PTX-40A... >_>;
RM2k3 Auto-Life effect
Here's what I did in Phantasia Remake.
On the battle events I did a Turn x1 thing, and then on the script I did only Call Common event = Rebirth Ring (AKA Auto Life.)
Then on the Rebirth Ring Common event, I had everyone have the death condition first, then if they were wearing the Rebirth Ring they would fully recover and remove the equipment. The same could be done with the status alignment as well. Do it for all characters and it'll work.
But this works in the similar form like in FFTactics. As for reviving as soon as you die, that one is a tough one... but its probably no different than from what I explained.
