Hiatus and Cancelled Games
Y'see, this is the thing though mate, during those two years, people may have developed other ideas, or didn't like the way the game was heading, so it's either they end up scrapping it or just build an entire new game together.
Another reason is because people may also have school/collage/jobs and don't have enough motivation or some other means that prevent them from wanting to continue working on their game, and lastly another reason it may be on hiatus or cancelled is because of the harsh criticism it receives and, that too, can become a major downer for some game developers.
Just saying "Hey, you're not allowed to cancel games!" doesn't mean people will just go back to working on their games for you, think of the game maker as well, they have lives of their own mate.
Well, that's my two cents. :P

I swear, September is going to be one hell of a long month, the wait kills. >_<; It's that feeling of a game you REALLY want to play, but are unable to because of waiting a long duration of time because of it, and it increases your hype all the more.

lol, I remember this one schmuck who added me on msn and asked me for my game and he said he wanted it for my resources and not the game itself, I just laughed and started making him go on a wild goose chase. XD
