Ok, can someone flat out tell me why Japan has so many weird sexual fetishes?
The thing with culture is that it builds on itself. So somewhere along the line a long time ago someone in Japan started the trend and it just gradually happened that way, I guess. There's probably a longer-standing cultural reason why the trend would take off in the first place. So you're probably going to need an expert of Japanese cultural history to answer the question.
I would hazard a guess that it has something to do with the fact that ever since the industrial days Japan has wanted to mimic the West and they still feel that today, so they're willing to abandon more traditional Japanese culture in favor of ours. But the difference is that we have Christianity that explicitly says sex is bad, whereas they don't. I don't know a damn thing about Japanese religion, so I could be flat out wrong, but it could very well just be a result of Western culture minus conservativism. And once they start being open about sex, then the people are willing to experiment and the result you get is modern Japan.

Let's Play! Final Fantasy IV Edition! ALSO A GENERAL FINAL FANTASY DISCUSSION TOPIC
I've always thought Golbez sounded Mexican too. It took me awhile to get used to the whole "Golbez is an evil villain name" thing.
halibabica's All-Star Mode: a challenge to all Brawl players!
Man I want to do this simply because I enjoy losing to people who are better than me, but I don't have a Wii right now and I've never gotten online with it before anyway. Maybe in a few weeks I'll see if I can hook it up.
Some Music Questions
Soundfonts are enormous files that generally sound okay, but VSTs are pretty much better. To use them in FL, just drag the soundfont file into your resources directory (Data/patches/soundfonts), then you can just open the directory in the panel on the left, and just drag the soundfont file to the track you want to use it on. Then in the track editor window thing you can pick your instrument.

I really don't see how you can support them now since some of them left square. And it's not like they're some kind of independent studio who needs the money, seriously, they probably drive sports cars now.
Just because they don't need money doesn't mean you shouldn't support them! It's like voting, except you're voting for "Hey, make more of these!" But yeah in this case there's just been too much time since the original release, so not so much here.
Some Music Questions
Since I use FLStudio I guess I can answer the first question. To my knowledge FLStudio has no built-in way of converting your computer's MIDI out to MP3 sound (or maybe it does, I can't even begin to grasp the depth of these audio programs...). So you have to have a VST/soundfont/whatever that provides instrumentation. If you're satisfied with how the MIDI sounds, you should probably look into the Fluid soundfont that SF mentioned in the other thread, which I've used in the past and is basically designed for MIDI conversion. And is exceedingly easy to use with FLStudio. Or you could just take the time to VST everything, which you should probably do anyway if you plan on actually using the MP3s.

If I remember correctly this site is geared toward Firefox. You can google Firefox or go here: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/
The whole download/setup process is pretty easy. Then you can just run Firefox like any other application on your computer, so you don't have to "change" browsers, you can have as many as you want at the same time.

MIDI Making

Jabbo: Soundfonts are unwieldy nowadays and are rarely used. It's difficult to find free soundfonts out there, but you may wanna Google search for Fluid, the most well-documented free soundfont that I know of.
Nowadays, the work of most wavetable synths is done via DXi or VST plugins for sequencing software (like GPO and EWQL mentioned above). Because computers are so much better nowadays, these plugins have taken the place of soundfonts, which originally required dedicated memory on your soundcard to use. Your software simply loads them up, a plugin interface will let you choose which sampled instruments to load, and your midi sounds like magic. Very simple.
I personally really like the Edirol HQ Orchestral plugin. It's much easier to use than both GPO and EWQL, and is mid-ranged with price (used to be the cheapest I think, but not anymore). GPO has some issues that hopefully have been corrected by now, but sounds pretty good; and the price is great. EWQL sounds better, but is much more expensive.
These plugins can be loaded by any software that supports DXi/VST and is capable of midi sequencing (from high-end programs like Cubase and Sonar, to low-end and cost-effective alternatives like FL Studio, if I'm not mistaken). I don't know that any freeware sequencers tout this support.
Exactly what I wanted to know. Thank you!
Corrupt a wish game!
Granted. You go on a cruise with a laptop filled with SNES Roms.
I wish for more good Fire Emblem games.

Chrono Trigger gets the Re-Release Treatment
I mean there's this article http://www.1up.com/do/feature?pager.offset=6&cId=3148820 but they COULD still be lying. Also I'd heard of this project but never watched the videos before and now I'm sad because I really want this and it's been cancelled forever.
Also I'm tempted to buy a DS so I can actually get the remake and support the makers of Chrono Trigger, but then I realize that Square-Enix would get my money, and I don't particularly like Square-Enix.
