Global Game Jam 2016 anyone?
I'm doing it. I had to work on Friday so I didn't arrive to the jam until about 1pm the next day. Going to bed now... we'll see if I can manage to finish my thing tomorrow. Making a shitty platformer.

how did you get an ff10 5* weapon????
Beats me. It's definitely not the first time I've gotten 5-stars that aren't on the banner. I get FF7 gear way too often, and got an FF6 shield during the Golbez event.
At a game jam so I won't get to the bonus battles until Monday morning at the earliest.

That +5 mythril was enough to allow me to pull right away. Got a Pinwheel (FF9), Power Sash (FF9), another Zorlin Shape (FF9), and a Variable Steel (FF10). No mage weapons from the mage banner, but no complaints. Second time I've gotten four 5-stars in a single draw.
Oh, nice. Power Sash has Protectga. So now I have a Shellga (FF10 Emerald Bracer) and Protectga limit break when I need help filling out my defensive buffs.

Ha. You will hate me. I just did my daily draw and got Aeris's Aurora Rod. That's two 5-star relics in about a week.

I think Beatrix is pretty interesting. She's got better magic and offense than Pretty Cecil but is less resilient. Like Cecil, her default limit break is conditionally good. Cecil's is good if you aren't bringing Stoneskin or Sentinel's Guard. Beatrix's is good if she has a +Mind weapon. Both conditions are pretty uncommon, though. I don't have unique gear for either character, but I'll use Cecil outside of FF9 because he can reach higher levels, while Beatrix will probably remain in FF9 when I need a paladin, and that's unlikely. I have only a 4++ and 5-star dagger, so I don't have weapons to support a bunch of physical characters. Magic damage has a lower stat requirement to be reasonable and both Eiko and Garnet can cover white magic buffs while dropping nukes.
Beta testing, plus SaGa tech
Yeah, Tiled is pretty great and I use it for everything. Even some dungeon generator I wrote exports to tmx just because. Like you, I use cell properties to do some basic event and entity scripting. Old example:

To elaborate, the behavior property is basically the entity's movement loop. It tells the engine which properties to look in to determine which functions need to be called with that data. Such that Conan the Example Entity will pathfind to a random tile near his spawn point, wait for up to 360 frames, pathfind to any random tile on the map, wait up to 360 frames, then restart the whole loop by pathfinding back to a random tile near his origin/spawn point. Properties can be named arbitrarily when they're just pointers, but a few have explicit names like clicked, behavior, touched, etc, since the engine needs a starting trigger. Also conditionals for the entity to even exist, like flag or item.
I also use it to set what happens when interacted with, under the clicked property--separated by pipe with the last entry being the highest priority (like RPG Maker event pages). All of my basic stuff can call functions pretty directly for opening chat boxes or shop menus or moving an entity somewhere or setting a flag/switch, but I put the detailed stuff in separate scripts just for readability's sake and to make direct function calls. If a value says something like "script, cutscene_001" then it'll read the cutscene_001 script and execute those function calls more directly, which look similar-ish to your example. I'm a heretic and use XML instead of JSON for my data, though.
My teleport events don't look too different from yours. I still use a property pointer because it helps me avoid redundancy though (like if I want to execute the value of the teleport property when the object is touched, clicked, or any other condition):
Ha. You can tell I updated my Tiled version between those two images.

author=CrazeNo. Forgot about that. It's +5 Mythril, right? That will work out swimmingly, then.
jude, did you factor in next week's winter gift?
Oh, I unlocked Viking's RM2 which seems kind of neat. Changes Attack to Charge... always. Probably a good one to throw on Pretty Cecil when I fill his slots with tanking and white magic. Whenever I do daily dungeons I just go down the list of which RMs I haven't unlocked yet, but didn't pay much attention to what Viking's was until it flashed on the screen. I was hoping to get FuSoYa's yesterday, which is basically Mana Spring and Concentration 2 rolled into one, but wasn't so lucky.
Did my 50-mythril pull: got a 5-star Zorlin Shape (FF9) and my third Warrior Sword (FF10). I thought for sure I got nothing because the animation didn't do that explosive bwong sound that it does for soulbreaks, so even if the item sucks it was an emotional ride. I am like the King of Daggers now. I have 5-star daggers in FF4, FF5, FF8, FF9, and FF12. I stand by the idea that it's good to have s strong dagger in every realm. Whether or not I pull on the next banner will probably depend on whether or not I've tried the bonus battles yet. I dislike not using a new item right away, so if I don't have any bonus battles to complete then I'll probably save my mythril.

I didn't even realize those dungeons were skipped--it's been so long.
If my calculation is accurate, I'll be three mythril short of being able to pull on both FF9 banners. With that in mind, I'm really not sure which one to go for. I'm currently leaning towards the second banner because I'd love to get Eiko's flute and any other mage weapons I can grab.
I picked up my second favorite FF6 character in the last batch of dungeons: Gau. And he kind of sucks. Other than the obvious lack of a memory crystal, he's also really limited on equipment and abilities. If he were like the greatest Celerity user possible then it'd be fine. I mean, Drunk Cecil is another really one-dimensional character but he's the -best- Combat user in the game--only second to Sephiroth in Attack and beats him in weapon and armor selection and general survivability.

Yeah, I don't have any mage weapons for FF7 except a 2++ Mythril Rod which is on the weak end of 2-star items, such that it's well below a foreign 5-star. My FF6 gear is my strongest in terms of the number of 5-star items I have, but I consider FF4 my actual strongest because I have a mix of weapon and armor types.
There was a dungeon update tonight so I'll be doing those until Beatrix.
