Release Something! Day VII: Advent Children [June 20th]

I have yet to start anything! However, I must not let that discourage me...

I'll have at least have something to release even if it isn't something finished.

Release Something! Day VII: Advent Children [June 20th]

Although it has been quite awhile since I have done anything with RPG Maker or been a part of this community (although I never really was except for #rm2k), I have decided that I might as well try to get something done for this Release Something! Hopefully this project will get the old creative juices flowing and maybe, just maybe, be the catalyst to actually start working on an honest-to-goodness game instead of puttering around with my head in the clouds and completing nothing.

For my (hopeful) Release Something! I'm going to build a tower dungeon that I had originally planned out for my RM2k3 game Wayward.

Good luck, everyone!

Video game discussion! Here! Now!

Ah, the videogame scene! The games I have been playing as of late are The Darkness and BioShock. BioShock is utterly stupendous, everything about the game is expertly done. I love every second of playing it. The Darkness is also extremely fun, but feels far more like the typical run and gun FPS. It has a fairly involved storyline that is presented well, and the characters all seem very real and natural. "The Darkness" factor of the game (where you can utilize the powers of the Darkness) is extremely fun and very instinctual, although the controls can get a bit confusing and are a bit muddled at times. I've almost beaten The Darkness but I've barely gotten into BioShock- yet I simply cannot wait to spend many an hour playing through it.

And you are...? (THE INTRODUCTION THREAD)

My name is Johnathan August Fisher, and I'm a 17 year old currently going to high school. I'm an Athiest and do enjoy a good theological discussion here and there, but for the most part simply live and let live. I am an avid driver, and currently trying to save up some cash to do all sorts of ridiculous things to my car.

My alias, Lega, is actually shortened down from Legato, which is taken from Legato Bluesummers. (At the time I was completely in love with Trigun (which, to some extent, has changed)). I enjoy a little bit of everything, but have yet to really find any niche that I'm good at.

I have always been a gamer. The first system I ever played on was a NES, and the fond memories of playing Contra and Ninja Gaiden late into the night still delight me to this day. Throughout the years I moved onto more advanced consoles, and when I finally obtained a computer the floodgates opened- in one fell swoop I tried to learn as much as I could about gaming, programming, and anything computer related. Sadly, without practice, any skills I once had have completely atrophied, and I have yet to relearn anything (although I plan on it, I swear!). I love a good LAN party and am currently console gaming on the Xbox 360.

I got started in the RPG Maker community back in 1998 when I was but a wee lad of 8 years. I downloaded RM95 and became instantly smitten with it, and later moved onto rm2k. I've been making games ever since, and one day hope to refine my skills to the point that I will be able to create games for a living. (Let it be known that I have never actually finished a game, although I have started numerous projects and various demos.)

I suppose that is all I really have to say about myself.

Generica - [RMVX..?]

Yep, just throwing in that I am indeed a go for this! Sounds fantastic, really. Can't wait for further developments!

Two Hundred Members

That was the entire shtick, though- host the Misaos at RMN, get lots of people to join so they can vote and nominate, and then hope like crazy that they stick around! I think they will. Better looking site than GW, and as long as it doesn't get infested with GVLs, a better community, too.

Onehours

OneHours are great fun! I'd be down to compete, seeing as there hasn't been one in awhile and I do need some RPGMaker practice.

Congratulations

Yay WIP! Finally the site has come to ultimate fruition. What wonders doth it hold within its (as of yet) shallow depths? We shall see, we shall see...

Really though, fantastic site and look and feel and everything- a little buggy still, but all in due time, yes?
