Your First Game
My first game was a botched attempt at making Neo Lescia. I'm not going into specifics, cause I'm going ahead with it right now. But trust me, I was 12, it was horrible, and I had completely forgotten the plot of Neo Lescia, so it really wasn't the game anyways. It's a good thing I recovered the file folder that contained everything about the game.

Nice job on the custom sprite work! Also it's nice to see an RPG with a refreshing time period/setting such as this.

Ephiam those first two screens are awesome - I love that rusty look.
I'm pretty sure that the community even struggles to make a game that can emulate the early RPG's on the NES, I really don't think it's as easy as you make it seem Nightblade. I mean Ephiam has literally almost perfected the formula of the old school games, thats something that should be considered an acomplishmend, regardless of how it looks. (Hey, and I can actually see the difference between every Dragon Fantasy title, I honestly don't think they blend with each other too well)
Although I do agree about the monsters, they're way to pixeled.

How do you like your world map?
You can do it with RPG Maker XP using a script. I guess they didn't hae it because RPG Maker 2003 was meant to be very simple to use, and I suppose some problems could come up with such a thing.

I have no idea where you're getting this from, in my time here I have never seen someone who is generally a mean person.
But to S4D: My advice is to not take everything that happens on a gamemaking form really to heart. If people are gonna bash you then just try and ignore them. I would really enjoy if you didn't leave.
