The RPG difficulty problem
Ah, I see now. Good point. I think you could put in a difficulty system, say with Easy and Normal open, but Hard closed until Normal is finished, so players who are more skilled can have more challenge, wheras players who are less skilled can pick Easy.
But, then theres your point about these things attracting skilled players. Maybe very skilled people will just play on easy?
I suppose another way to do this is to get rid of most things that make the game easier, such as, maybe, items as a whole. I think that could certainly even out the difficulty.
All in all though, the more skilled player is more than likely going to have an easier time, since they are more skilled. There is no real way of stunting the skill level of your players.

Okay so excuse my idiocy, but I have almost no idea what you are saying here. Are you saying that grinding removes the need for skill, or?
Band Art Game!
Screenshot Superbowl Sunday
Looking pretty great so far. Only complaint- well not really a complaint, but the shading makes it look less like face art and more like a cell shaded model, but maybe thats your style?
Also that reminds me of something I've seem before. I can't remember what though.
And that is looking damn good Nightblade. Excellent work my friend.

Preparing a video for youtube
Well, if it's already high quality video then it shouldn't be too bad once the high quality comes up on youtube. Also I think rendering as an AVI can help, but I've had problems with using AVI's so, you can try.
Sorry if I'm not much help but thats really all I know from what gameplay/devlogs I've uploaded.

Racial Diverstiy In RPG's
I think I may have started something bad... Although I'm not sure.
Anyways I seem to have been sufficiently proven wrong about diversity, to sum it up, good points everybody. I didn't think of that whole non-human diversity thing, haha. I did mean to explain that I understand the setting issue in my first post though, but I must have forgotten. Obviously if your game takes place in a white society people will be white.

Racial Diverstiy In RPG's
Something I've been wondering about recently. Why are there so many white people in RPG's? I'm not exactly complaining, but the only two black people that I remember from any game are Barret and that guy in FF8, and I can't even think of an RM game that has one black guy in it. I just found it really odd that there isn't at least a balance between black and white people in any RPG. Is there really any reasoning behind this (I hope not), and do you think it even matters?
Also I want to know if you have racial diversity in anything you are currently making or have made.

SpherEternity: Fallen Angels
Haha, I love when people put 'features' in their adverts. Out of all the times that's happened I've seen like two things that are actually features.
1.100 endings? Ha.
2.I'd consider this fairly normal, unless it was around 70-90 like Suikoden for example.
3.I honestly don't care for these, as you can write completely believable relations into the story as is.
4.Not a feature.
5.Kind of not a feature/usless/broken, maybe you'll do this right, I don't know.
6.Give us samples.
7.I'd like to know what these mingames and sidequests are generally like.
8.Every good game has a story. So not a feature.
9.2.5D isn't really my style, but I don't mind, I think it would look horrid to be honest. And yeah, like Neo Prime said, good luck with the anime, cause it aint happening.
Lennon out.
EDIT: Oh yeah and why bother making the first bit of the story sci-fi if you just go back in time anyways? To me thats just being a jerk, or being too unimaginative to make sci-fi work, or both.

I really have to question what you know about game making...sorry.Hmm guess he knows nothing cause he doesn't have ultra ridiculous and bound to be dropped goals.

Your Game Sucks
This has been said time and again, but, as the others have mentioned, it's all about what you want, really. I do agree that things should be made more managable, and as Eike said, if you're making an epic game, then please do it in episodes. It makes things much more managable, and doesn't require that people play it for extended periods of time, or that you make it for extended periods of time.
