LENNON'S PROFILE

Alright, so basically I'm looking for something to do with some free time that I have. I decided that since people generally like any graphics I make, that I like making graphics, and my current project doesn't use them, I can get someone to hire me as a spriter.

I use a very Earthboundish style of work, since that was one of my main inspirations for the way I do them. As for the type of work I can do, I'm comfortable doing any chipsets, FF4/5 styled charsets from scratch. I can resprite monster graphics and make them fit, since I am unable to do anything from scratch in that area yet. I can also do FF4/5 battle characters.

As for what I expect, if anything:

I expect to have a creative reign over many aspects of the graphics, not being told to do something exact, but more general. Things come out better this way.

I also expect to be credited for my work. (Obv.)

if you're going for a full-fledged swastika, then you should angle it and have the white spot about, just like the real ones.

otherwise you could do a sauvastika, providing these guys are über-badasses.

That could be an option, but I'm gonna leave it as is. The problem with having it tilted is that it becomes hard for me to align it, so I'm not really going to bother, the straight one is fine.

I don't know, me being dumb or something probably. The cross is just what I drew first so it's there now. I might use it in conjunction with the cross now that I think about it.

You're right, why should I worry about offending someone with RPG maker? I mean it's not like im doing graphics for burning jews and work camps or anything. Now that would be kinda offensive.

Hey! I was thinking about getting a co-writer or something to that effect today, actually. Right now I need help with creating believable dialogue/giving characters distinct personalities, as I find every line I write sounds like it's from the same person over and over.

Going along with what everybody else has said, I say be prepared and make sure you want to do what you're planning.

If you find it hard to make something thats very long, then if possible, I suggest breaking it into episodes so you can make one, take a break, then return when you're prepared for the next. This only works when your story can be broken up though (obv).

Also find a source of inpiration for that project in particular, and when you're not sure go to that source. It works for me with FF7 music (yeah yeah I know), since it brings back feelings of nostalgia, and I have feelings of nostalgia for my current project (I planned it at a young age).
