What is your opinion on "Filler"
I really don't care for filler, and I think the reason is that it naturally comes with long ass never resolving shows/animes that go over 100 episodes. Like some people above my favorite shows are less than 30 episodes, but they are concise and to the point about everything, and they never really drag out something longer that it has to be. I beleive that the longest anime I've watched goes for 27 eps, a tie between Gurren Lagann and Utawarumono, and the shortest, at 13 eps is Hellsing.
I beleive that if you can't play out a story in 30 eps or less (thats 15 hours normally) then you either have a long story that deserves to go on longer, or a story that drags and never has a conclusion. I don't really think there's a middle ground to that.

Alright, I got the airship mapped out, so I can start doing all the main quest events and stuff for it now.

You wont be on the this airship for long, by that I mean the regular Angelus. By the time you actually get the airship as a mode of transportation it will be a bit upgraded. I don't want to say much more than that, cause I consider it a spoiler of sorts.
Also, When on the airship for the first time many rooms are locked up, as they will be unlocked when certain party members permanently join you. Not every party member has a special room (They all have their own cabin/bedroom though), just the ones that would serve a purpose/actually can have a room for stuff based on their character (Ex. A forge, a miniature arena, etc.)

Yep, I'm still using the first person view. To be honest it feels akward when NL isn't in first person, since the original make of the game was on RM2000. I guess it's just stuck in my mind as being the norm for NL.
Neo Lescia
Wow, you must have been the only person to like that demo. (I think I only released one demo, I might have forgot to release the second or something).
But yeah, thanks. I'm gonna be putting all I have into this game, then just doing the rest of the trilogy after it's done. (Neo is the middle of the trilogy, so im kinda pulling a George Lucas with this one. It's gonna be Neo, then the prequel, Eva Lescia, then finally the sequel.) Ah, I'm sorta rambling now, I'll be quiet until I update again.

This looks really eye catching, and the presentation is to the point, concise, and interesting. Any plans for a demo? More screens, perhaps?
More screens will be coming pretty soon, I have to do the eventing on some maps before I put them out for show or whatever. And as for a demo, maybe like the first two dungeons or Release Something Day 7, whatever comes first.
My Brute would kick your Brutes ass. Prove otherwise.

This si actually pretty fun, although I haven't went up against any of you yet, I probably will later.

I'll just discuss some of the main points of Neo Lescia here. I wont get into the story because I want that to be a complete mystery to the player. Well maybe I'll do a breif outline or something.
Setting/World
I've tried to avoid a generic fantasy setting for the game, by using a half cyberpunk half steampunk mixture for it. "Cybersteam" as I like to call it. Basically the world does run largely off of steam, but computer-ish things are around too, such as cryogenic chambers, one case of an ancient computer, neon signs, and power plants. This is reflected abit more in the game play, but I'll get into that later.
The world at large has many mysteries, as that is the main theme of the game, the mystery of the world. That being said, I want the presentation and music to reflect this, which is why I chose an epic/orchestral sundtrack (Lost Odyssey)for the project. I'm using rudra chips with this because: a)They are detailed, and a certain level of beauty can be obtained by using them, b)I'm fairly skilled at rudra mapping, and c)They give me an opportunity to make the environment better, which is another central theme.
I also plan for the world in Neo Lescia to be largely un-inhabited, sort of in a developing area, where small colonies exist along with big cities, and people are starting to migrate further out into the wild.
The Lore
I'm giving special attention to the lore of Neo Lescia, in that nothing in its world wont have a backstory. Everything you can come across can be researched at bookshelfs/historians, and by talking to NPC's.
I also plan to divide the culture of the game into denominations, where different continents will live by rules based on real world cultures, such as Japanese, Greek, European, African, etc.Even the monsteres will be divided, being based on the mythology of the aforementioned groups.
I may forget to include a backstory for some things in the making of the game, but with its release it will come with my notes of the locations/lore.
Story Goals
I don't want the story of this game to be a generic good vs evil kill the demon sort of thing. Instead, there is no clear villain in the game. I will attempt to drive the player on the desire to discover more about the mystery of the world. Of course, there will be small conflicts, but the larger scale of things will be kept a mystery.
The story itself is centered around a stone, the Monolith that has been on the planet since the beginning of life, and why it is there/what it can do. The story is also centered around personal demons, as the characters in direct contect with the mystery will change and become different people altogether.
Gameplay
The gameplay will be for the most part driven on mystery (once again), as the environments will be open and diverse, and sometimes interconnected in ways you normally wouldn't see in an RPG Maker game.
For the atmosphere, I've decided to not make music the most prevalent thing in the game, rather, I will use sound effects to create ambience, and have music low volume in proportion (If there is any music in that area at all).
As for the battles, I've taken to using a front veiw system. The talents of the player come from "Neon" or, the colors of the world. Each character has their own crystal grid which you can set various color coded gems to, to gain color coded skills and traits. Each weapon will be also denominated by color, usually having the color in its name. The same goes for armor and acessories.

Love for the Tales series
I've only completed Vesperia, Symphonia, and Legendia, and they are some of the best games I've played, ever. I already beat ToS 3 times I think and I'm gonna go for a second with ToV soon.
Tales of Legendia is also IMO the best tales game ever, it easily excels over all the others, with much better music, art, environments, and nearly everything else. The only detrimental fact was that it was really short and kind of easy. I beat in one weekend without dying once. (I had it rented, so I had to finish it.)

Release Something! Day VI - Release Thread
Dreamer.. Yay.
I rushed this together today, as I decided where I'm going in terms of game making right now. It's not poslished or anything, but since this project is cancelled for now, I figured you guys deserve the demo I promised.
