The site owner spouts white supremacist garbage and the mods react to my concerns by laughing at me. I'm not going to put up with a toxic community like this anymore.

Craze and LockeZ probably wield/mount something to fight directly as well as the Paladins and the normal children fight.
PSA: LockeZ is a piece of EVIL and disturbing TRASH
author=NeverSilent
See, that's what happens if people resort to conflict immediately instead of taking a closer look at each other. On one side, there's an octopoid, crazed supervillain who disguises as a hero. On the other side, a machine-mind antagonator who delights in creating more evil bosses. We obviously have two evil overlords here, even though one won't freely admit it and the other is being facetious about it.
Why can't you people look beyond the surface for once and enslave the world together in harmony, instead of fighting amongst one another? Sheesh...

Never assume Evil Overlords will cooperate. If they do, they're just waiting for an opportunity to backstab the other.
LockeZ designs a boss battle for you
Is this thread still available? I might need some ideas in the near future.
Also, take a look at the WC3/SC2 map Impossible Bosses - the game is even more boss-focused than Shadow of the Colossus as you don't even have a plot or exploration element between the fights. It's also for 8 players.
EDIT: Regarding the open world problem in general, my idea is to make most/all areas accessible at low levels and getting progressively harder as you venture deeper inside. Another thing I like is that some rpgs have strategies that are not only viable for low-level characters, these strategies wouldn't work if you're evenly leveled. Focus Sash Endeavor Quick Attack Rattata is the most prominent example I know of that.

If both Craze and LockeZ are using a hero party - how can it be a boss battle? Where's those oversized dudes who can do two things at once, swim in lakes of HP, shrug off all kinds of ailments and hate teamwork?
[RMVX ACE] Making steal realistic?
How about you re-flavor steal into something else where you need the enemy alive to get what you want? Examples:
-Gathering Soul Essence from enemies which can be either used for something or crafted (healing, power spells, teach abilities), which won't work on dead bodies.
-A Megaman Battle Network-esque setting where the characters are data. You'd use a hack to extract files from them before they're deleted (killed).
-Your thief is a psion who can steal information from the opponent's mind and might even be able to manifest these thoughts into physical objects. If you kill the enemy, he can't think anymore and therefore has nothing to steal.
So basically, you just achieved more realism with less realism. Cool, eh?

Well, Hi Y'all!
I couldn't find it around, but I heard of a game based on Doom that was made to be pro-christian. Involved using holy crosses etc. to fight the enemies from the original game.
Without wanting to claim any position about religious belief, I do think the stories from the old testament are pretty rad and feasible for an RPG. However, I wouldn't know exactly how to handle combat - there is plenty of fighting, but most of these seem to be one-sided beatdowns...

[RMVX ACE] New to RPG Maker, help me do stuff
You don't need to make a small game to familiarize yourself with the engine - make a side project where you strap in all kinds of scripts, design ideas, maps etc. you want to experiment with without rhyme or reason. This lets you get comfortable with functions and how to use them properly without having to think of how to fit them into your game (and to see which ones would work better)
