I also remember playing something called Kindred Saga. I was quite impressed at the time because the developer managed to code a custom SBS, and it was the first time I got to listen to Romancing Saga's awesome music. I knew at that time that I wanted to learn how to code lots of custom systems.

Kindred Saga holds a special place in my memory.

I guess the first website I found was gamingw.net (when it was in its glory days), but the first RPG Maker RPG I played was actually Romancing Walker, which caught my eye in queenscourt.org, a website that used to host the Misaos. It was awarded the Best Complete Game of 2004, so I gave it a try, and never looked back since.

Romancing Walker may not be lost, but is a classic and a gem. It was a fun game due to its engaging humor (even with the Engrish) and unique because of its theme as a romance style RPG. It's also the only RPG Maker RPG so far which I've played twice. I'm never one to play RPGs more than once, not even the best, but Romancing Walker is an exception.

Romancing Walker, I agree, was a classic. It was funny and quirky and just made you feel awkward in the best possible way.

Being the ABS guy that I am, I look back fondly on Shattered Samurai, which was the first ABS game I ever saw for 2K. My computer was slow (by slow, I mean Legion Saga II had lag), so I didn't get the full experience out of it, but I wish I still had it.

What do we remember?

RPG Maker in all its forms has existed for a while now. Good games have come and gone. I want to know if you guys have fond memories of any old RPG Maker games that now are hard to find (or don't exist anymore) on the internet.

What do you remember?

@Livewire: I am still working on Crystalis now and then. Crystalis currently requires me to do lots of custom graphics in order to complete Mt. Saber, and sometimes I like to work on something else for a change.
Fabulist:RH is one of many side projects I finally put enough work into in order to make a game profile here. I actually have dozens of side projects like this one.

Well, either way, consider me subbed.

So are you still working on Crystalis, then? That one showed a lot of potential.

Advice, anyone?

Original Graphics and picking fights seem to get people's attention.

Haha, pity that I don't have the skills for the first one, or the guts for the second.

Little bit of both. They come from a little-known SNES game called "Live A Live". I took the rips and reworked them into chipsets. Some parts of it I made myself (the northern end of those cliffs, for example), but that's about it.

When I've finished making them, I'd like to post them so that others can use them if they want to.

Pengui!

Congrats on being featured. I'm really enjoying this game so far.

Hey hey hey, it's me

Is that what it's off?

I really wasn't trying to reference anything. But hey, I'll take it.

(and dealing with the crap that brings, like getting contacted by Marvel's lawyers for a game-takedown request for a sex game starring Prof X).

Wait, wait, wait... that actually happened?

I mean, congrats to deckiller, and everything, but you seriously got contacted by marvel?

Hey hey hey, it's me

I hope to.
