For over 12 years, I have been creating my own video games and art. I started out by creating games on Microsoft Powerpoint believe it or not and then graduated to Rpg Maker and eventually to more advanced engines such as Construct, Unreal Dev Kit, and Game Maker. I have mastered Adobe Photoshop over the last several years and have become proficient in using Blender. I have a passion for creating, learning, and now teaching =]

Finger Bash Marathon!
Great seeing this game again, great video too =] I found it entertaining to watch. Finally what a great title for chapter one, I got chills down my spine seeing it again =]
The Screenshot Topic Returns
@JS: I really love your style, simple and retro. But why are the corpses hanging from the top of the wall? It would make more sense if the chains stopped somewhere a few tiles below with shadows below the corpses to indicate they are hanging from the ceiling.
WIP Devlog 5 for my game named Breakout Hero. I added several new types of bricks for more fun, new sounds to the game, I improved some of the physics, added a new power-up (Shadow Ball) and improved transitions!

@Seraph: I'll change that sound effect than and work on the transition, thanks for the feedback bud =] The end was just me goofing around, trying to shoot up my combo and score metric. P.S. I'm digging that command menu from your screen shot, it looks cool. I'd just add some shadows for the sprites so they feel more grounded and keep working on the HP/MP section of the screen, some refinement and it'd be good to go!

WIP Devlog 4 for my game named Breakout Hero. I improved the graphics and sound for this devlog along with adding a combo system to the game. At the end I'm paying around with spawning bricks near the ball =D

WIP Devlog 3 for my game named Breakout Hero. Since the last video you saw...I have improved the collision, added animations to the grass, flowers, paddle, hero, and stars, finally I added a cool protective light emitting from the player's wand as well as particles to each brick upon being destroyed. I also added a lives counter, a score counter, a point system similar to an action rpg / platform game, and finally a game over screen.

I know what you mean..people messed up my birth name all the time, it got frustrating as well hearing them butcher it.
The Screenshot Topic Returns
The shadows being different colors on the player/monster looks a little weird...I think the monster looks better though, it blends better I mean. I also don't get the dunes, they stick out in strange angles. Other than that, it's very beautiful.

@Deckiller: I like the overall map but the sharp forest top tiles contrast way too much with the single trees which curve a lot and look smooth. It looks like you are mixing a DQ 3 style with something more modern. I'd recommend editing the forest top tiles, especially the top three tiles so they are more curved rather than square blocks...it'd look so much more natural. Same with the shadows at the bottom of the tree trunks...the style just flows awkwardly...jaggy to smooth to jaggy. It works fine for man made structures like homes...but in nature nothing is ever a straight line all the way through (Trees, tree trunks, cliffs, and their respective shadows)
@Aqua: The RTP doesn't compliment the FF6 style of character sprites well, I'd try going for consistency with your graphics but I really love that floor tile you are using..the room feels so cheerful and fun to explore.

I like argh's suggestion for the quicktime events, make them branch more so even if you mess up you can keep going, just with consequences...but I like the save before hand just in case you totally butcher things. But personally I'm with you Ashes, I like quicktime events =] I think they break the pace of just town dungeon town dungeon. Also I know I already gave you my feedback, but in terms of dialog I really like everyhthing...just more variety in dialog and interesting towns people would go a long ways in making the world feel alive =] Nice name change by the way, but I liked FEY man..you built a brand out of it...it's almost like you have to rebuild it now...even though it's a cool title.
