For over 12 years, I have been creating my own video games and art. I started out by creating games on Microsoft Powerpoint believe it or not and then graduated to Rpg Maker and eventually to more advanced engines such as Construct, Unreal Dev Kit, and Game Maker. I have mastered Adobe Photoshop over the last several years and have become proficient in using Blender. I have a passion for creating, learning, and now teaching =]

@LockeZ: Thanks! Indexing images with a diffusion of 1% gives a very smooth look by the engines standards. Also creating multiple layers like you hinted at allows more color retention!

Haha I'm still very new to RMN I'm glad to hear that you guys will be receiving notifications but I would also like to generate more interest for this project. (Hence my wording of things ) =]

Thank you Supremewarrior!
So here are the mechanics in summary:
-There is a day to night system implemented in the game.
-Depending on the location and house, the doors lock at a certain time.
-If it is a magic door you need to use a spell (Will reveal this bit in time) to remove the barrier.
-If door is not magical or barrier has been removed and has been locked you have the option of picking the lock.
-Depending on the difficulty of the lock system, the purple bar on the left will increase in size or decrease in size.
-When the smaller silver bar goes over the purple bar simply press enter to unlock the door. It is a mini game based on timing. Mistime things and your lock pick will break. Good thing they are cheap to buy!
-Once the door has been unlocked you have the option of opening it.
There you go, hope that was informative.

Thank you all very much for your interest in Eden Gate!
@Clyve: Thanks! I plan on finishing this by late next year. In the mean time I am working hard to have a good polished demo released by late January of 2012 so please look forward to that.
@New Black: Yeah I feel this is my most ambitious game to date, I am constantly finding new ideas that I implement daily. What you see in all these screens and videos are really only half of what I have already implemented. In time I will reveal more. I look forward to your support.
@Kentona: I certainly have lost days of sleep and food working on this but only because I am trying to produce a demo by early next year in January. Thank you for your interest!
@Archeia: Thank you very much please come back from time to time for further updates!
To everyone who has shown interest in this project I thank you very much. The video on this page is by my standards outdated but there to give a general idea of the system. Please look forward to further updates on this page. I also plan on creating a website for this game please refer to it once it has been created and put online for further information.

Thank you all for your feedback and interest! I've been in University all day so its taken a while for me to get a chance to write back.
@Deacon: Yes it is RPG Maker 2k3, the only things I ripped were the sprites and a few pics used in the menus. Most of the Menus and Background Maps were drawn by me. The trees particularly were not ripped but made in 3d software.
@Felipe: Thank you very much, it is actually an RPG Maker game! Also I really like the atmosphere and feel from your new video. It has an air of chaos to it that is further enhanced by the ambiance from the music and lighting.
@Lockez: You are correct in that the screens are from RM, however none of what you see is concept. All screens were taken from in-game and everything you see has been 100% completed. The Shop Menu, Battle System, Harvesting System, Lock Picking System, Mining, and Fishing, along with the Desktop GUI have either been roughly 80% to 100% completed. You cannot see the Desktop GUI, Harvesting, or Lock Picking in these screens but I have submitted my game to the Main Page of RMN if anyone is interested in seeing more of this game in action. There is an old and I'd say outdated video up...the battle system has been enhanced since then along with other aspects of the game but if anyone wants to get an idea the link is:
