Let's Play, Lunar Wish IX-end

Again, I thank you for your incredible videos! They were very entertaining and also your feedback was extremely useful.
The game full game was originally intended to be one full 30 hour experience, but with the announcement of the Release Something Weekend, I really didn't want to wait around - I just wanted to release something! So that's when the split was made, so in the month prior to May 4th, I spent all my time testing, fixing and making the split for Lunar Wish. (It had already been completed and I'm actually well into development in The Rebellion). With that said, it won't take another 5 years to develop haha! That is the reason for there no Final Boss, although one can consider there to be 2 final bosses - they just don't happen to be directly before the credits :P
The split also explains the abrupt ending which pains me, but there was no work around for it.
If the RSW weren't announced, I probably wouldn't have split the game, but in hindsight, I'm glad I have as it's given me the opportunity to make the second part so much better than it probably would originally come out as thanks to yours and others feedback! For example, I'm definitely working on the character development. I also realised that Orbs of Fate doesn't really involve much of the story, but it works by leaving the player wondering. Why are there all these random scenes to do the orb? Why did Loki join the Academy? Why did the orb thief do what she had done? Who is Logan? Who is Tag? Who is Master Pow? etc, etc... The Rebellion will answer all those questions and also be rich in storyline.
Also, in Orbs of Fate, it is possible to complete the Skill Trees - In The Rebellion, everyone will be given an extra skill tree! It will also have the option to start a new game at recommended levels. I will definitely learn from my mistakes and promise not to get lazy on dungeons! I know the TanBurn Passage was really short (but planned to be much longer), so I shall make all the dungeons longer! I'm glad you liked the gadgets too - They're also one of my favourite features and there'll be sure to be more of them!
lastly, I have to say that I'm flattered about the 4 - 4.5 score :)
Thank you so much for playing and the videos!
(Whoa, that was long)

Let's Play, Lunar Wish VIII

Glop shlop!
It was pretty stupid of me to make it so that you have to travel between the Swampy Path and Cronif Cave so often. Watching your video gave me an idea which I hope to have in the next version :)

Let's Play, Lunar Wish V

Whooa!
So many videos! This is incredible.
And again, you give a lot of useful advice! I particularly find the one about eh shop keepers interesting - I hadn't thought of that and it is very true.
There are however a few videos I can't see, because youtube says they're said to private - namely, vid 27, 28 and 22
I was discussing the kobold thing with another member and I do agree on that they should be killed completely one defeated once, while someone else said they didn't think it would be a good idea to kill it off (possibly because it can be good training). So yeah, they shall die in the next version.
Thank you very much for these videos; you've made my day ^^

Let's Play, Lunar Wish IV

A new version has been uploaded with the fix. It should work now.

Let's Play, Lunar Wish IV

Yeah, it's worked every single time I've played through it and other people seem to have gotten past too. However, I've fixed it anyway (by completely getting rid of the movements in the last part of that scene - It's unimportant anyway). I'm uploading a fixed version now... Really sorry about that.
Other than that, I really enjoyed the videos!
(I especially liked how you killed that coke lady off screen)

Let's Play, Lunar Wish IV

Oh noes
It's that glitch again... It's weird because the characters even have through set to on. The scene works sometimes and sometimes it doesn't.
Could you try to see if it works by trying it a few more times?

Let's Play, Lunar Wish III

Interesting.
I hadn't thought of converting the animations to JPEGs. I have now and well... It cut it down by over 60% in size. It also looks as though, there was no quality loss at all!
I didn't do the other stuff though, but converting the PNGs alone, did a lot already!

Let's Play, Lunar Wish III

That's okay :P
Oh yes, I forgot to ask; how do you cut the size in animation files? I already used a PNG optimizer on all the picture files, but perhaps there's a way to further decrease them in file size. I admit, they do take up quite a bit of space.

Thank you for your advice~
(Also, I think there's a gap missing between the LP of videos 9 and 10)

Let's Play, Lunar Wish III

Hi again.
I watched all the videos and you made an incredible amount of valid points. Also, thank you for checking my map errors, I'll fix them hopefully soon...
I fear that my game doesn't have good strategies in place concerning mobs and boss battles, (although a few boss battles later on have funny gimmicks), so it may not be exactly to your taste - I mean, you really seem to be an expert at these kind of RPG games (it's as if you've seen it all). Me, well I haven't really played many RPGs - my main inspiration is Pokemon (lol), as it has the most casual approach on RPGs that I know of, which is why I really wanted to base the difficulty off of that. (I find that game really easy, but also extremely fun, because it's easy :P).
But yeah... I agree that my weak point are the battles >.<
I also noticed that my game is quite event and scene heavy. There are quite a few annoying instances such as the entire coke saga and the soon to be, Arrowseye Saga, where some of which I regret putting in... I should have focused more on gameplay besides using the scene after scene formula. I shall defo correct it in my next game.
Also, I noticed that you aren't too big of a fan of the humor used in my game, such as the well umm... deaths. I ADMIT, my game is different and runs away from the seriousness at what SHOULD be sad, but I guess I look at things of a perspective that's too distorted from other people's views (which surprisingly enough, I can't help, so my apologies for ALLLL the NPCs and events that occur later in game if you decide to continue).
Next, I remember you in one of the earlier videos thinking that it cost 5 skill points to raise Cindy's shock spell or something, but all skills actually cost 2 Skill Points (I may be wrong in thinking your thought this). I think you realised that later though anyway, but I thought I'd point it out for the sake of it.
Again, thank you for pointing out the mistakes and mapping glitches. I fixed them straight after you mention them (except for the overlay maps). I'm glad you enjoyed some of it :P
