It's definitely a conflict! I love the new art, but I also love the old style. I was stubborn enough to keep the silhouette sprites, too, but even that has been held against me in reviews.
But ah, no worries! I think how it is now it great, and the silhouette version still exists in its own way. :) I just hope the new art doesn't discourage fan art! I want fan art so much! XD
Thanks, Liberty. :)

Summoner of Sounds
@Happy: I thought it might not be in the guidelines because it was for a character-naming screen. I guess in my head I consider the character naming an out-of-game-world/external event, which could happen anywhere and any atmosphere. If the area or event of the character-naming is like you described, with all of the quirky people and what-not, then sweet. I just immediately considered this a separate type of instance, like a menu screen song or something. XD
Summoner of Sounds
I added a a WAV version for the entry, but also an OGG for people who might not want to load up all of that data.
I think this new version is finished compositionally. I gave it a decent mix and mastering, although I've never been great at that. I may tweak some EQ and compression as the month goes by to try and get it a little better.
@Trihan: Thanks! Yours is awesome. It fits right in with a classic RPG, but isn't reminiscent of any composer in particular. Good work. :)
@Happy: Great atmosphere for a hero naming. Depending on the game, that could work really well. :) (Although, does your entry fit the guidelines? XD)

Thanks, guys!
I guess it is a little castle-y. Probably because of the march-style of percussion. Hmmm...

Summoner of Sounds
So far I've only composed 30 seconds, but I think I'm in the right direction. This is not mastered or finished, so no use in making a WAV version.

We're going to make Sound Summoner seem like such a good idea it'll become the next micro-tuned, marginally-altered Final Fantasy Tactics Advanced job!
Last Word Steam Release
Thanks for the good words, guys! As far as downloading from something other than Steam, that'll be the case. But we have a Steam-driven PC scene right now, so Steam is the priority. Other avenues will hopefully open up soon after. :)
But if you're really interested in just paying for a version that isn't attached to a portal of some sort, go ahead and PM me or email me at merlandese@gmail.com and I'll be more than happy to figure something out for you, or just keep you updated when possible.
@NTC3: Yeah, I feel like Sandhoff has had the most dramatic change in appearance from her silhouette impression, even if Prattle has filled out differently as well. She works well in the game, though, and I think that matters. She really adds to the atmosphere with her personality. Plus, I think she has a vaguely Asian heritage, which might explain her cleaner aging...? :P

Last Word (IGMC Version) Review
Thanks, guys!
And thanks for posting the reviews of all of the games you judged, Liberty. Not a bad idea! Good use of an existing review session.
Hopefully all of the issues have been ironed out in the commercial version of the game (coming next month!), but if not the sheer adorability of Seymour will save the day. XD

Wow, thanks so much! I listened to quite a bit of it, skipping around here and there to selfishly obtain feedback from certain areas, but I probably listened for an hour and a half to a lot of it.
You both sounded like you were having a lot of fun, which is, as the elderly might say, wicked killer. It was refreshing. I loved the Lady Batman material and how useless McCall was. And Poop Servant! XD It was a good time. Thanks for playing through!
