MILENNIN'S PROFILE

I create games because I enjoy gaming, telling stories, writing dialogue and drawing. Making a game is all of those things combined into one. However, my greatest passion with game making is designing battle systems that require thought and resource management within battle itself. I'm always looking into improving my skills, so if you've played one of my games, please do leave a piece of feedback on my page.

RM2K3 Battle Timer

Probably by a 1x turn in every battle that adds to the clock variable. It wouldn't be completely accurate, but the closest you'll get I think.

Gaming Advice With Professor Know-It-All: How To Keep Your Gaming Audience Entertained

I'm not a fan of skippable cutscenes in an RPG, unless it's right before a boss fight that won't allow saving your game between the cutscene and the fight. How many people are willing to sit through your free RPG Maker game for multiple playthroughs anyway? For most game developers here they're lucky to have people playing their game even once.

If it's a Hero cursor you could probably set the cursor on different heights in the sprite sheet, and depending on which tile it stands on it locks into the direction that matches the height of the text.

Yeah, that's lots better. I like the green menu in that screenshot.
The title screen looks nice too.

There's nothing wrong with free games. Some of them are quite good. Just don't buy anything.

Those kind of games would be good if they weren't free, but sold at a set price that would just include everything.

I remember playing a free MMO some years ago which was pretty fun actually, but at higher levels it just became too much of a pain to do anything without paying. Instead of constantly having to buy boosters or what have you I'd much rather pay a 1-time purchase... Hell, I'd even prefer a monthly subscription over a game that balances its gameplay around micro-transactions. Because "free games" get way more expensive than any 1-time purchase, or even monthly fee, if you want to be able to enjoy them on a regular basis.

If that's the general consensus that those are much better (probably so), I'll keep the old ones (again, personal preference dictates my entire life), but add a Extra Systems patch (with DynRpg.ini for game_clock and everything) Can you send me the system templates?

Out of curiosity, which of these did you prefer?

Sure, although I accidentally saved over the yellow one.

Out of those 6 I think I prefer the purple or the green most. Grey is OK too, but a bit boring.

And yeah, it's fine to keep the old ones in. Variety and choice is always good.

This is supposed to be a girl's house, so I am trying to make it colorful. I don't know if it looks too weird, or too small, or is there something else wrong. I want to put in a bathroom, but I don't know where it should be. :D

You could make both the living room and kitchen smaller?
Living room has 3 big couches, seems like a bit overkill, no? Kitchen has a ton of dead space, including that empty corner in the right. Kitchen could do with a window as well? If you can't fit the bathroom on that map, you could put it upstairs?

This. I'm going with this, and don't try to stop me. Thought, actually, I might try to put the edge back in with all the Chinese symbols, provided I can get enough visual clarity.

The English text isn't centered, though. Unless it isn't supposed to be?

Which reminds me, it's easy to complain about the color being off. You wanna suggest what color I should actually use? Because criticism without being constructive (that is, helpful) is just being a hater. I don't know what color shows up best, despite trying several, studying color theories and trying complements and various shades.
Try yellow text on a dark blue background?

In the end, it's my best judgement which color I think stands out, and I may be wrong. But if I can see it on my computer, which can barely notice the line where the text ends on Message (seriously, that's why my messages are often so short), short of reducing brightness and contrast, and you can't... it's time for you to get a better computer.
The difference is that you don't have to necessarily read your own texts ingame, because as game creator you know what every line says. For people playing it the first time it's different...
