MILENNIN'S PROFILE

I create games because I enjoy gaming, telling stories, writing dialogue and drawing. Making a game is all of those things combined into one. However, my greatest passion with game making is designing battle systems that require thought and resource management within battle itself. I'm always looking into improving my skills, so if you've played one of my games, please do leave a piece of feedback on my page.

That's all fine and dandy, but I still don't know how to use variables and switches precisely.
If reading tutorials didn't help then the only solution is to play around with them switches and variables until you do understand how they work. And honestly, it's not that complex.

Games sequels, stay the same or go different? why and how?
It's up to the creator. In my case I went for a sequel that's different from the original in a lot of ways, but still keeping some old things in it. To me it would feel boring to make the same game over again but with a different story or character, it's fun to try out other things.
But yeah, it's not like my first game was popular anyway. In the case of a popular commercial franchise it's different. They know they probably won't sell as many copies if they go with something completely different, so they stick to the same thing. I don't blame them, it bring in the best profit and it's what the fans want: more of the same.

Yeah, I could go with some of that.
I'm also adding a small lake with some islands in another corner, and 2 rivers. Hopefully that should give enough variety to the full map.

You mean what he posted a few pages back? Those are much more mountains than plains.
I currently have this, which is a piece of a part I've somewhat finished so far. The ravines are used to mark the map's edges, but I'm not too sure what to do with the parts further away from the ravines. Since it borders with a forest, I can place some tree clusters here and there.

I'm going to make a plains map, any advice on how to make it look interesting? There'll be some ravines here and there due to seismic activity in the area, but for the most part it's a pretty flat map.
My game idea im working on , any advice
[RM2K3]The Majora's Mask Gimmick, anyone?
You don't need a plugin, just a simple common event with a variable timer would work perfectly well.

It... uh froze. I think something to do with multiple enemies paralyzed along with the party members.
It didn't hard freeze like Cerberus's, but instead would try to fill the guage, and empty, repeatedly.
Yeah, I fixed that issue in my game, but since there hasn't been really demand for this thing I didn't bother updating it again. Well, if you actually plan on using it I can get back to the file and fix the issue.

Why is there a bridge over such a small ditch... walking around it would take a couple more seconds. The cliffs don't show depth very well, but I guess it's easier to see ingame. I don't really understand why the water in the left bottom corner is lighter in the deeper part, and the bright blue line along the cliff doesn't go with the rest of the shade of the water. What is the wooden thing supposed to be that's between the 2 houses in the northern part of the village? I also don't know the the thing in the south east bottom is supposed to be... is it another ditch but with walls made of wood and plants growing in it?
