MILENNIN'S PROFILE
Milennin
2060
I create games because I enjoy gaming, telling stories, writing dialogue and drawing. Making a game is all of those things combined into one. However, my greatest passion with game making is designing battle systems that require thought and resource management within battle itself. I'm always looking into improving my skills, so if you've played one of my games, please do leave a piece of feedback on my page.

Mini-Games
I usually don't care so much for mini-games in commercial games, but I gotta admit that Pokémon Sapphire's contests were really fun. I like to see them done in RPG Maker games, though, and I love making mini-games for my own game as well. Within the first 5 minutes of my current game you'll be playing a mini-game that involves shooting birds with cannons, and I have lots more of crazy mini-games planned for later in the game. My previous game also featured several mini-games, like catching the right NPC in a crowd of people, avoiding rocks, racing on cows, fighting a ninja, escaping from a horde of knights and a few others.
Help with ink and recolor
I think I could do this later today or tomorrow if no one else has done it by then. Was planning to do some Photoshop work anyway.
RM2K3 Limitations & Wishlist rant
author=Skie Fortress
I know your pain all too well. In fact I know it so well that I've begun to fiddle with RMVX Ace....which solves all of these problems in one decisively critical blow. But of course, it's a different engine entirely, so saying 'Use RMVXA' isn't much help at all.
In any case, your list of features pretty much covers anything I could ever ask for in 2k3. But most important to me is the skill cancel bug. If that could get fixed once and for all, I wouldn't have anything more to worry about with the engine. But alas, it's still being a pain. Sigh.
It's true that VX Axe is a lot more solid combat-wise, but it's so much more inferior outside of combat with the lack of event options.=( And I don't like the bigger resolution, and having to go into scripting for side-view battles.
[RM2K3] Attacks missing constantly
Actually, I think I found the reason why stuff kept missing; I decided to do a check to see if hero speed was really actually increased in battles. In one of the encounters I had it actually play the event for resetting speed back to normal twice (yeah, I only raise hero speed right before a fight, then set it back to normal right after). At least I now know that having low speed actually affects hit chance, that's pretty useful to know...
[Poll] Do you think RM2K/3 will ever die off completely?
author=Sailerius
Considering that 2k/3 games scarcely run on Windows 8, it's only a matter of time.
Then I just found another reason to not ever use Windows 8. Not that I needed more reasons, but just saiyan'.
[RM2K3] Attacks missing constantly
I've never seen it skip code for attack command in battle events for me - and I use it in all my battles for all characters. And I don't really know what you mean by guarded abilities (limit breaks???).
So, assuming I remove it, any good replacement for a basic attack then? Other than going in the skill menu...
And yeah, I have set both monsters and heroes to 250 speed to work with my turn-based system.

[RM2K3] Attacks missing constantly
Is there some sort of hidden hit/miss formula in the RM2K3 battle system? I've been testing battles using weapons with 95% and 90% hit probability and way too often I go on long miss streaks (missing 5 times in a row) with auto-attack.

If they ever make something that could actually replace RM2K3 completely, then yes. But seeing the way modern RPG Makers are going that's not going to happen anytime soon.
