What Videogames Are You Playing Right Now?
Finally started Demon's Souls after having it gather dust on the shelf for almost a year. I got hooked instantly. I feel like I'm playing an actual video game.
Whatchu Workin' On? Tell us!
I'm finishing up my plot outline and will soon start writing the script. I really want to get a clear idea of what I want to accomplish before I even open the software. It's going to be a neo-noir horror mystery with occult and surreal elements. It's more about storytelling and exploration than conventional RPG gameplay.
I've also been gathering resources and working on some rough tracks for the score on the side.

How did you get started in RM ?
A friend introduced me to Rm2k way back in '02 or so. I think the first RM game I played was Final Fantasy: Endless Nova, which I refuse to replay for the sake of my sweetened memories. My first projects were overly ambitious FF rip-offs I could never even hope to finish.
What Videogames Are You Playing Right Now?
Which game was the biggest disappointement for you?
Metal Gear Solid 4. What a letdown. "Hello, I hypnotized myself to believe I'm the villain." "Hi, I suddenly have cancer." Then the nanomachines. The goddamn nanomachines. Fuck that game.
Moi
Hello!
I'm a 21-year-old business student from Finland (I'll be starting my studies later this month, but it counts I guess). My hobbies include dreaming about having a moustache, watching obscure films, playing guitar and being a bad person.
I've had some history with RPG Maker, but it didn't amount to anything worth mentioning, really. I started back when RM2K had just come out and the communities were sprawling (those dark times when Legion Saga was the shit). To be honest, I spent most of the time stealing other people's resources rather than working on my own projects. Somehow my interest in the subject was renewed, and so I find myself here.
I admit it, I've always struggled with the technical side of game development. Writing and composing are the areas I feel most comfortable in. I started writing songs when I was about 16 to deal with the insurmountable pain of being an angsty teen (things are better now). Recently I've been going through this artsy period when all my songs are just a collection of dissonant, noisy and ugly sounds. Maybe one day I'll rediscover the meaning of melody.
As for game projects, I've been working on two outlines. The first is "Griffin", a mystery/horror/adventure RPG about a detective trying to solve a complex murder case. It involves drug use, lunatic time travellers from the future and ripping off Silent Hill. I'm yet to figure out whether to release it in an episodic format or put it out as a whole. The other project is "Voyagers", my big, dumb tribute to superhero comics. Not much to say about it yet.
I guess that's all!
