Custom Battle System in progress

Well, this looks awesome and I've subscribed but ... is there really only one usable skill per character? That kind of cancels out the benefits of tactical combat, for me at least.

Wanda - Update First few minutes of gameplay (screenshot)

Well, I missed hearing from you guys. The art is certainly nice, and a welcome change from the brownish DarkEnd screenshots. Having said that, there are two key points I need to mention:

1) How can your robot think itself alone in the world if the very first screenshot shows three robots just like itself inside those pods? You should have an answer for that clear for the player, since it can really impact on the immersion otherwise.

2) (The main point) What exactly is there to separate Wanda from other projects that are post-apocalyptic/centered on loneliness besides robot protagonist and the artstyle? If I were to name commercial projects exploring similar themes made in the last five years off the top of my head, you would quickly run into well-acclaimed titles like Nihilumbra and The Swapper, and more that didn't quite make it, like Another Perspective, The Old City: Leviathan, etc.

Granted, their genres are a bit different, but all of those competitors also have much heavier gameplay focus in comparison to yours (besides Leviathan, which is just weird), which only works in their favour in the eyes of a customer.

Thus, I want you guys to succeed there, but I'm afraid that right now it seems too light (story-wise, not tone-wise), too insubstantial to really make its mark in the commercial field. In my view, there needs to be something more unique, some other hook to grab the paying player's attention beyond that cute title screen.

I like that fallen pillar and glass shattering effects. However, the way toxic pool flows out of the pipe looks obviously painted-on.

An introduction to Crackerjack

Well, this sounds really cool. Good luck.

Music Player, Game Expansion, Website, and More!!

Well, when it comes to voice acting, I remember reading about Whiplash (a great film by the way. See it if you haven't already.) It was made for a tiny 3,3 million budget, and its lead, Miles Teller, a reasonably well-known Hollywood actor, had agreed to star for only 8,000 USD, because he knew that it would be great and instantly increase his standing.

Now, an Oscar contender that would've likely won in a different year and a small-scale romance visual novel are obviously different beasts. Nevertheless, it does show you that you can keep the costs down (and 8,000 isn't even the minimum possible cinema paycheck) and still get a great performance; it's all about finding the right kind of actor. If you fail to find suitable actors locally, then my (admittedly inexperienced) advice is to look for the actors who voiced secondary characters you like in some relatively recent games, then check their profiles on Imbd to learn of their employment history and status.

As an example, I offer you Mikey O'Conner: he has been in business since 2007, had 11 roles ranging from the protagonist in Silent Hill: Origins to Helicoper Pilot in Need For Speed: Rivals, and has apparently been unemployed for two years (last known role in 2013). Now, sure, voice of a depressed trucker is probably not what you're looking for, and he might still ask for more than you can afford. However, he's unlikely to reject you outright, and that's already a start. If you're good in searching for actors like that who fit your intended roles, then you shouldn't face many problems covering your VA needs.

Oh, and when it come to a sales place, how about GOG.com? They might be more known for their 90's CRPGs, but they're certainly not averse to a good indie game, and they have To The Moon listed as an example. If you're interested, more details here.

Exams

Yeah, hard to believe that it's a zombie game.

Last Word (IGMC Version)

On it. And

What exactly was the easter egg? I tend to be quite thorough when playing games on here (as reflected in my reviews) but I didn't really think anything would change if you beat Chatters the first time.

And also, when were you banned? If it was before last year, there's a good chance of appealing it, as the site now has two new admins who seem to be more forgiving than Fast Eddie (not that I care either way, since I never use the forums and my interactions with staff are kept to a minimum due to temporal constraints.) Anyway, RMK games certainly need all the help they can get on TVT.
