This is something I've just noticed: Unless I got confused somewhere, our site just ranks games linearly in order of upload when creating their URLs, and the newest games are at 7500+. Yet, we "only" have 3269 games. Does it mean that more than half of all games on here were taken down by creators or something? Hope someone can fill me in on this.

^ Your logo does look a lot better. This screenshot has nicer font, though, and those cool ribbons, so it's kind of tough for me to choose.

The ESP Test Review

For me, the Zener cards were always best used in the Starship Troopers, along with those other awesome mid-film commercials. I wonder if the upcoming serious remake (which is about 85% likely to be horrible) will still include them, or not?

This reminds me; it would actually be pretty awesome to have a quality SST game (hopefully not a badaptation) on RMN. Maybe I should get on it sometime after my current writing tenure is done (i.e. not anytime soon).

@nhubi: May I point you to I Dreamt of Vengeance? It still has no review, in spite of having been released only two months ago. I would've had reviewed it myself, but the game resolutely refuses to work on my PC, so I would hope you have better luck with it.

About the story

Oh, yes, what you say sounds very familiar to my current writing on Nihilo. Having said that, I generally have flowchart-style writing only for the actual dialogue trees; when it's to do with area/item description, I tend to just wait for my partner, Giznads, to develop the area of a game and send me a screenshot/demo. Then I label all of the objects in the screenshot, Ctrl + V it in Word and write descriptions underneath. Whatever works, I guess.

Musical Themes

I really like it! Thanks for uploading!

There's a very important confession I have to make

I'm comparatively new on here, so I never really got to interact with your alts, and so I suppose it doesn't affect me much. Then again, before I was on RMN, I was part of a certain forum with zero effective moderation and where I was seemingly the only person without an alt. account. Those were fun times.

The Rare/Obscure RM Games Request Topic

OK, guys, I've got Standstill Girl on my computer and I just found it's not on RMN. Would anyone want me to upload it if I get the devs' permission to do so? I ask because it's comparatively recent and even has its TVTropes page, so I'm not sure if it's considered obscure enough.

Oh, I remember that review. Some truly vile stuff was said, but to be honest I don't really blame the guy- he's apparently pretty hard into psychedelic drugs, so he's no doubt very spiritually and personally connected to his art. I think his reaction was because it was judged as a game when he really intended it as a purely artistic piece.

I guess that explains a lot. Believe or not, however, I actually view all games as artistic pieces, which is part of the reason why I tend to give lower scores on here than most. It's just that to me, gameplay in a game is like cinematography in a film, i.e. an integral part of an experience regardless of how artistic it intends to be. And of course, I mostly praised the gameplay; it was the storyline I had greatest issues with.

EDIT: @ Housekeeping: Didn't see your post when I first wrote it, but I guess same points apply. And I agree that the discussion overall was worth having; I just wish, like everyone else, that it could've been conducted with more grace (which I suppose I must take some of the blame for).

Seer Dell: Dragon Review

K then. In all fairness, it's not exactly a common name for an award (and yes, I did read where it came from).
