I'm an artist first and foremost, and long time video game and RPG fan. Been tooling around with RPG maker for some time and I'm finally getting down to business and working on a serious project. I've got everything planned out and now I'm just trying to punch out the work.

Thankies, yeah you will control a person and click to move/interact (Diablo-esque) I just haven't made the chars yet. They will be the same illustrated style and tall and slender (not chibbi-fied)

I agree with all the 'right-align' comments. But I must say, those graphics are impressive. The characters look real and relatable (and I don't even know anything about them). I also like how the men have face wrinkles; it's so refreshing in an art world swamped with anime-styled young people. And they have noses!
Thanks very much dude I'm thrilled you like my illustration style. And I agree for better or worse the rpg domain is definitely dominated by anime styled artwork, My stuff is definitely more comic book like :P

You could put the New game, Continue things to the right side. Also, i think it would be better, to use pictures instead of the default title "box" (like a New game, load game etc as pictures, with similar style as the original art there)
Also, you could add some subtle picture about the manor, or something in the background.^^
Regarding the art, its pretty awesome, and I will subscribe to this project ^^
Glad you like it so far, the title pic is a demo so far, I actually want to have an image of an upstanding key wrapped in a banner.
The panoramic background picture is an excellent idea, perhaps a parchemt map for effect.

Be cool if you had the selectable stuff on the right side, but yeah original art gives it such a nice flair. Reminds me of uh that zombie flash cartoon on newgrounds awhile back.
Next demo pic I take will include the different cursors then :P
