Hi, I'm OldPat, an italian indie game developer. I'm trying to improve as much as I can, hoping to reach a professional level one day.
I also like to draw a lot and that's another of the fields I'm trying to improve. My English is still a bit bad, so I hope you'll forgive me if I make any mistakes.^^'

Karma Flow - The Prototype

Finished playing it, and it's been one of my best experiences with a RM game in a while, even though I'm quite indifferent to the genre. Congratulations.

Wow!

You don't know how happy I am to read this coming from you, Zorga!

I'm really, really glad you enjoyed it THAT much! And I'm now stupidly happy. Like you have no idea. XD

Thank you for playing my game! :)

Visual update and soundtrack WIP

Love the portraits and overall artistic style, as always!
I'm kinda curious about this game, because I honestly don't know what I could expect from it.

Maps are maybe too big, but they're not *that* bad to look at.

The WIP Soundtrack sounds nice!

GAMBATTE!

Karma Flow - The Prototype Review

Hi Kryzz!

Thank you so much for this review, it warmed my heart immensely! I'm really glad that you liked the overall story and aesthetic. I worked really hard in order to give them proper justice and I'm still quite unsure whether the "message" that Karma Flow is very "story driven" is clear or not to the players who want to download and play the game.

I've taken the criticism to heart as well. Karma Flow was made in one month for a jam and that, coupled with my inexperience, produced a game full of potential but lacking in many areas.

With Tears of a Ghost, the sequel I'm making right now, I'm aiming at improving the overall gameplay and the story too. I have all the time in the world to give all of the important characters in the game some quality screen time. And I've matured since KF1, so it will be interesting to see how I will approach a main entry now.

Look forward to it, because I promise it will be a *HUGE* improvement in every way over Karma Flow - The Prototype. It won't disappoint you if you liked this one! ^^

Keep an eye on the game's development if you want, there are already some videos around showcasing its new gameplay:

And thank you again from the bottom of my heart, because this review gave me tons of strength and motivation to carry on with Tears of a Ghost like you have no idea.

I'll do my best!

Progress Report #2: Need a player's opinion!

author=Make_it_MagiK
Hi Pat! It's really nice to see you're making such constant progress! Well done, continue with the great job! Anyways, I'm also leaning more towards version 2. The side walking chara of the second version looks more "3D", whereas the first one looks flat, if you know what I mean. Still in the second version the hair looks a bit darker? I would color her hair more saturated like in the first version. This is my opinion, I hope it helps!

Damn! Apparently the post I wrote for you two months ago didn't get send. T_T

Hi Make!
Yeah, in the end I went for version 2 (Dyhalto's version). Blog post about it coming soon.

Thank you so much! :)

RMNMeet 2020

As for us italians, we can travel around again now. But if I tell my boss I'm leaving Italy for vacation he will kick my ass. xD
Just doesn't have to tell him that though~

That being said, are we still considering 2020? Because I'm beginning to think 2021 might actually do the trick better, but I'm not sure.

New RPG Maker incoming?

That MV3D thing looks indeed impressive. But damn, is navigating through the map a pain in that test project. xD

As for me, at the moment, MZ doesn't hype me at all. Four layers mapping is cool, really *REALLY* cool and a feature I always wanted back but still... hopefully that's not everything it has to show.

Still, *elder man's voice* "it is not thy tool who makes the game for ya".
So, y'know... if you have stuff going on with the current RPG Makers just focus on that. Don't y'all dare trying to convert your projects for the new tool for no real concrete reason. I saw that being done way too many times when a new RPG Maker got released and as a result I saw so many dead projects all around. A massacre. Everytime a new RPG Maker gets released is like the D-Day for game projects.
