It doesn't translate well to RM. I'd suggest making the river bank a bit smaller or give it a more man-fluenced feel; for some reason the river bank in Persona 4 comes to mind.

RMVX !Other2 Flame Recolor to Blue & Green
In GIMP, select the area (so the shooting upward flame section of the image), then go to Colors > Hue & Saturation. Fiddle with the Hue slider until it's about right. You might want to adjust the contrast (Colors > Brightness and Contrast) to get that bright-flame feel (don't go too overboard tho.)

The second version is missing a quotation at the end of Julia's speech. Besides that, I love the way you write; it's concise and descriptive and paints a clear vision of what's going on.
