And I officially love you.
I actually tried nabbing them from the PC Version way back when I had it, but they weren't in a filetype I recognized nor could I find a way to convert them. I've also spent many hours googling for the SEs, and came up with a bunch of dead links in all but one youtube video which had a download for FF8 Sound Effects (Incomplete), which had the first hundred.

Yup!

WOO. Vanishing characters? And does it function like the original one?
Also the comma is gone \o/
Yup, functions just like the original. Vanishing characters AND changing battlebacks~

Very, very nice.
Did you use FFVIII 's sound effects for spells animations ?
I only have about 100 or so SE's from FF8. All the main ones are there but majority of spell/enemy/misc ones are not, so I'm making do with what I have. Usually I'll do a pitch adjustment if it's an RTP SE though, so it doesn't really sound like an RTP game, at the very least :c

Double and Triple are going to be included as spells and as passive abilities (which are of course rarer). I'm also considering an All passive ability but I haven't decided on that one.
At the moment I haven't written in Aura but if I did it'd be for skill cooldowns. The game really is exploitable if you play it right and aren't silly, which the original was, too. But the original also had things like Limit Breaks, which added to an already broken system was the nail in the coffin of FF8's difficulty curve.
With SLH, the game is DESIGNED to balance out its exploitability with limitation; you CAN get Abilityx4, STR+60%, Counterattack, Darkside and SOS Regen at the same time but you're going to be sacrificing other useful abilities and possibly weakening yourself to the point where all your passives mean diddly squat. Limit Breaks would remove that sense of it meaning diddly squat, since by FF8's formula you could spam them, and by any other formula it's not too hard to use Provoke to build up the gauge again. SLH encourages you to exploit but removes that extra avenue.

I'm not using Limit Breaks. What were limit breaks in the series or Dissidia are now skills with cooldowns and the like. I don't like how Limit Breaks skew battle dynamics, so they've been cut.
