[RMVX ACE] title screen using events.

Here I am again, you guys really must be sick of me.

I'm making a custom title screen on RMVX Ace using events, I've got a method that works flawlessly on 2K3, but on VX Ace just will not play ball, the 'cursor' goes all over the place and it is driving me insane.



Cursor Y = 8 being New Game, Cursor y = 9 being Load Game, and Cursor Y = 10 being Quit Game.

The issue might come from VX Ace not having the key input process command that 2K3 had.

On a scale of 1-10, how weird is it for a guy to go outside at 5:00 on a foggy morning and walk down the railroad tracks into the woods?

If you weren't dragging a body sized hessian sack behind you then it's not that weird at all.

Apparently variables in VX ace don't work the same way as variables in RM2K3...

It's not that. I'm trying to event a title screen, and in 2K3 I've got this method that works flawlessly, I tried to implement it into VX Ace, and it just will not play ball. I might post my problem in the help thread, but I'm pretty sure you guys are sick of me posting in there all the bloody time.

I'm dipping my toes into new waters. And trying my hand at Visual Novels.

Dating sim, so far I'm still drumming up the minor details, but the title will be 'Late in Love', I figured a great deal of dating visual novels are about teenage boys trying to get their end away so I thought "why not do out about an older gentleman."

Well, no. I don't need the menu system, but I would like tweaks to the equip screen, so it just shows the available weapons, and the weapon equipped, so like, character graphics and hp/mp numbers and bars aren't present.

I know it's non-combat, and I did hesitate to ask, but the script of yours was exactly what I was looking for, (minus the not-being-able-to-equip thing) I am sorry.

Forgive my asking, but is there any chance of this being edited so that it allows you to equip weapons. I'm currently working on a survival horror game, and this script is almost exactly what i'm looking for.
Change SHOW_WEAPONS = false to SHOW_WEAPONS = true


Now I did that, but all it did was show the weapons in the item menu. I couldn't equip them or anything.

But saying that I know next to nothing about scripting. So I'm pretty useless.
