I am write now, yes?
Welcome I guess...
Writing is something I haven't done too much - until I was forced to as I started making a game - so it's nice to see people who know how to write. Maybe you could make a tutorial or something...
I'm also christian btw.

Help us desgin de best RPG Ever.
I answered to your poll. I hope it helps. Good luck on your quest to make an RPG.
Hmm... I think just going to the internet and saying: "Give me your opinion on subject X" isn't the best idea to look for new ideas because you are going to get a TON of ideas which might be difficult if not impossible to compare and choose the best ones. You need something to manage and regulate the incoming data and a poll like this might be very good option.

I don't really understand how polling this data will help you desgin the best RPG ever, but it would certainly help you create a derivative, inoffensive, and agreeable one by looking at games through the lens of market analysis and profit margins.
People here prefer to think of game design more in the philosophy of how mechanics come together in an innovative, balanced way, and how this constitutes good entertainment. You might get better information by opening a dialogue here instead of sending us to a soulless pollster machine, hope this helps!

What are you thinking about? (game development edition)
I've been thinking that I want to make my first game this year, but my first game idea about robot battling rpg adventure is too big for me right now so I've been trying to come up with smaller ideas recently.
Most interesting idea was this game that combines asteroids-like shooter game with a tile matching puzzle game and I have most planned out on how I want the game to work and I opt to program it from scratch instead of using engine but I'm not sure with what programming language or development enviroment I should implement it and it would be a lot of work so I decided to try first even simpler game idea. That's how I decided to turn to renpy engine to develop a kind of visual novel.
I have an idea about a game where the player meets five different kind of characters and have conversations about important questions of life so it's going to be more solemn, philosophical and contemplation prompting thing. Now I only have to create interesting content for the dialogues, design and draw characters and compose some fitting music. I've also set a deadlines for myself: game page up within this month and game completed before september - it's going to be interesting and so exciting to make my first game ^_^

Summoner of Sounds
Here's my second submission: "Exuberant"
This one is 8-bit theme and I hope to make more of these. I think it ended up being little strange and incoherent especially at the end but I hope it would pass in a light-hearted game although I have no idea in which part of game this could be used.
It's number 3 even though it's the second I'm submitting because I was working on number 2 but I'm out of inspiration and time to finish it so I'm going to submit in this first chapter only two pieces instead of three.

Here's my first submission: "Village of Tranquility"
Audacity seems to link completely unrelated images to my audio files as album art and I don't know how to get rid of them. You may see them in your music player but I hope you don't mind.
There are two more submissions to come in this first chapter of the event.

author=Vanillatogetherauthor=ResidentEcruteakIf you haven't already joined a team you may join me :) I work well with others and I'll take all the help I can get lol.
I'm definitely in.
Is there any team that would like to have a second member? I'm novice composer and using mostly free tools so I don't know if I can offer much for the team but I thought it would be fun be in a team with someone.
If no one wants me to their team I will just make a team of my own but I though I would ask first...
Ok, great. I will gladly join your team. I suppose you just need to add me to the team somehow... I don't have any pieces ready yet; I'm currently making some sketches for the music I'm going to submit, but we can already start switching ideas and other stuff.

RMN Composer Introductions
Hello. My name is Eric-Mickya Liwata (you can call me Eric); hobbyist composer from Helsinki Finland although I have constant tug-of-war whether to aim to be professional video game composer or not. In internet you can find me with names like ResidentEcruteak or eric156music. I don't have any musical background until I started composing music about year and half ago so I definately have a lot of things to learn from music.

My youtube channel.
Contact information for commissions:
I'm currently more focused to practise the craft and not aiming to work for a game, but if you need music you can PM me and I see what I can do. I'm willing work for free in non-commercial projects.
Music genres and style influences of your work:
I can compose music similar to classical piano pieces or simple rock tunes most comfortably but I can do some other styles/instrumentations also and I'm constantly expanding my capabilities in various styles.
I'm most influenced by video game music from nintendo consoles from N64 onwards. My favorite composers are Junichi Masuda (Pokémon), Ippo Yamada (Megaman Zero/ZX) and Kenji Yamamoto (Metroid Prime) but I also enjoy from the works of Motoi Sakuraba and Koji Kondo. From the composers of classical music my favorite is Bach. These influences won't carry over to my music as often as I would like though...
Your choice of audio software:
Currently mostly free tools: Musescore for inputting the note data and LMMS to actually produce the sound. I also have FL studio but I don't use it too often; it's mainly reserved for commercial VST/libraries I plan to purchase in future that won't work well in LMMS.
Instruments you play:
Ocarina and keyboard - novice in both.
Your proudest accomplishment as a musician:
Nothing... except maybe listening video game music for nearly 20 years lol.

Whatchu Workin' On? Tell us!
Doing two small projects for sake of practising game making skills.
First is mostly about developing a battle system for my future robot battling rpg thing. This is just a command line "game" where you can battle with few characters.
Other project is more graphical one; I'm trying to make simple engine that uses tilesets and charsets to make a small game world where you can walk around. I even made a tileset and charset of my own for the project - these are my first ones:
tileset with some exterior and interior tiles
a charset that is based on pokemon RSE graphics
