It's a good step in the right direction. I for one look forward to the day when we finally grow up enough to treat all theft of game assets, indie or otherwise, with the same severity that the rest of the gamedev world does.

[Poll] M.O.G. Multipart Event - pared down?

I think this sounds awesome but I agree that the logistics need some thinking. For example, I know absolutely nothing about making music or sound effects, so much of the time for that part of the event would be spent on just figuring out how to do it. And as a few people mentioned, it would be kind of disappointing to put so much effort in a game only for at least one aspect of it to turn out crappy since it's not your area of expertise.

EDIT: Also, if this happens, please don't limit it to RM only!

More specifically, Act I+ was created using the database of Act III, except the fork occurred before the original Act III was finished. I made a poor prediction of how many branches and variables I would end up using and by the end of Act II+, the new CE code and data were overrunning onto code and data in use in Act III, turning Act III CE into a minefield of impossible to anticipate bugs.

It was after Act II+ was out. Act III CE was already well underway by that point. Naively, at the time, I thought it would just be a matter of polish and playtesting after that, since that's more or less how I+ and II+ went. Due to some stupid technical decisions made when I+ was first started, it was doomed to not be as easy as I anticipated.

I don't even remember anymore. It happened right before it was about to go into its first alpha and during the first playtests, it completely exploded in ways that revealed that there were huge, unanticipated issues left to address. Around that time, my role on VSA was really stepping up, so I decided to put Act III CE on the backburner in order to put my full attention onto VSA, since my divided attention at that point was holding the others on the team up.

No, they should be the same and arriving at the same time. The only Android version that'll hit separately is Ouya due to the controller support.

What makes you want to play one game over another?

An interesting story concept that stands out. I don't care how good the art or gameplay is. If there isn't a story I can engage with, I don't care.
