Code Monkeys Ride Again! Podcast
@Yeaster: Yeah, just having, maybe, a sign above the door for the Sorcery and having one or two NPCs say where the Sorcery is rather than talking about demons would help. I was fine with them being talked about, it gave you the impression that the world turned with or without you, and for once all their dialogue didn't revolve around your adventure. It was refreshing.
@WIP: I'm not a programmer. Nick picked the name Code Monkeys, but I'm on a Games Art & Design course, so I just do concept art and game design theory (and a little 3D). Can't speak for Nick or Asa.
@Max: Thanks for the compliment =D Your game 'won' the podcast because... Well, bar the length of the demo, but it left us wanting to play the rest and that's a demo's job. Give you a taste and hook you, then cut you short while your wondering what's gonna happen next.
I gave most of my feedback on the Halloween contest, and I didn't really have any complaints. Just felt like there wasn't anything I could say that I'd not already said. Other than that I don't think we mentioned much about the game because we didn't want to tell people where to go and what to do before they played it.
@Anaryu: We literally were on MSN with each other talking about the game like "Did you do the bit with the Grim Reaper yet?" "Yeah, yeah, I'm now playing as the girl!" "Oh, me too!" and didn't realise we were playing different games.
As for the ABS... It really did remind me of Mr Mo's SABS system. I did feel it was a little weird to have a tutorial that explains what HP is, even if it was skippable. Equipping spells was the last of the tutorials. It really didn't feel different to the regular SABS bar the health bars and such looking different.
I might give the equipping skills tut another look, because either I didn't get it - through comparing it too much to Mr Mo's - or it was badly explained. It was one of the first games out of the set I played, so I'd need to play it again to double check.

Yeah, Demon, in future, you're not judging anything I host. It'd been three weeks and you've only played the one game? That's inexcusable.
And Rei, Elegy's Eve was good, it really was. But Ruptured Souls really stood out to me in a way that your game didn't.

Cosplaying
Ness and Lucas if it's your first cosplay. Keep it simple - especially if you're making the costumes rather than eBaying some.
Megaman and Zero would rule but they'd be way too hard to make.
When I go to the next MCM Expo in May, I'll be cosplaying as a part of a Super Smash Brothers Brawl group, as Sonic. A very talented friend of mine is making the costume for me.

I too, say Ruptured Souls takes the crown here. Rei's entry was very solid, but Ruptured Souls, for me, had a better atmosphere and plot - and I was far more immersed in it and interested by it than I was Elegy's Eve.
Max, you're right, Demon has taken too long - should he ask to be a judge in future I'll firmly say no.

I've been waiting very patiently for Demon Destiny to give his feedback and for him to confer with me - which he's not done
Zack and Miri Make a Porno - And Kevin Smith's Other Films
Kudos to everyone in this topic, seriously!
Holy shit! Shame you didn't bump into any of them.
@ Tau: It's really good, trust me.
@ Chaos: I think Chasing Amy's was better "I can buy fags, a bunch of guys who just crave cock, who just plain fucking need it! Dykes? Fuck that, everyone needs cock!"

This movie was filmed in my hometown (Pittsburgh) and I recognized almost every single scene!
And yeah, the movie was pretty awesome. Seth Rogen was definitely very funny as usual, and the other cast complemented each other well.

Zack and Miri Make a Porno - And Kevin Smith's Other Films
So, Zack and Miri Make a Porno recently hit cinemas, and it's as hilarious as Smith's other films. Really didn't disappoint me. Film eight and the guy just keeps getting better!
So far we got
- Clerks
- Mallrats
- Chasing Amy
- Dogma
- Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back
- Jersey Girl
- Clerks II
- Zack and Miri Make a Porno
He's also released three Q&A DVDs, An Evening With Kevin Smith, An Evening With Kevin Smith 2: Evening Harder and Sold Out: A Threevening With Kevin Smith, two books, Silent Bob Speaks and My Boring Ass Life, he's also worked on comics such as Daredevil, more recently Batman: Cacophony, as well as released a Clerks comic, Chasing Dogma (which links the films Chasing Amy and Dogma), and Bluntman and Chronic. There's also a Clerks animated series and a plethora of other merchandise he sells at his store - Jay and Silent Bob's Secret Stash. One in Red Bank, New Jersey, another in LA.
If that weren't enough, he's cameoed in Die Hard 4, Scary Movie 3, and is set to appear in Fanboys - a new movie out in February.
Any other fans of the fat man otherwise known as Silent Bob?

The only hypothetical question that matters...for game developers who are also grownups.
In response to Asaleri stating the gaming industry is in trouble due to the current economy, I'd like to point out that entertainment - particularly video games, movies, books and other forms of escapism, have their highest sales when the economy is roughest.
Just look at Monopoly, for example, that came out during a depression, and because it centered around spending and gaining a lot of money, people used it as escapism and everyone went and bought it.

Xbox 360 question
I'm pretty sure that what causes Red Ring of Death in most cases is the amount of heat inside the console. From what one technician's told me, it actually bends/ warps the motherboard until it's not properly connected... Or something like that.
It can also be due to having waaay too much dust inside your machine.
