I have created RPG games for 5 years. In Finnish but... They are still pretty good... Still I never published anything full-length game, because I compose a lot and I like to create games for fun.

Old school RMers: what are some communities that you used to belong to that have ceased to exist?
I think it is not going to mean anything for people outside of Finland, but there used to be very active rpg forum in Finland. http://rpgmaker.fi
Now it is still there, but people have stopped to post, as the old guys at the forum grew up and new generation of rpg makers didin't find their way to the forums.

[RMMV] Video Preview of Procedural Generated Levels (Pokemon Inspired Game)
Ah so these levels are procedurally generated. I see. What is the goal of this game? Just wander and wonder, or something else?
The worst thing in procedurally generated systems is that maps get very repeative after some while. If you can solve that in some way, game improves a lot. Now there are just these labyrints, which is not bad in itself, but player will get bored after some while, at least I would.
Musics in this are really nice. If I were you I would change the sound effects from regular rtp ones.

Little gap between posts, but music making has been continuing behind the scenes. May I present to you the newest royalty free compostion.
Spirit of the Forest is a mystic song trying to investigate melodies of untouched atmosphere of an evergreen forest. Session last Friday and Saturday was pretty good and I have to say that I enjoyed making it. Imagine yourself walking through an old natural site.
We used taiko and deep drums to bring this oriental style mixed with folklore elements. You can sense that there is something deeper going on, something so massive that we are not able to comprehend.

As this is the Halloween week, I decided to make fitting music for that. In last special composing session we made really good soundscape with haunting tune. This royalty free song is going to serve that purpose, as you can download it for your own horror projects or videos.
