PSA: DO NOT Use Unity (Or RM Unite)

author=Strak
They're actually pretty generousconsidering they could literally have asked for a revenue split instead.
Lol.

So I hardly go into a shame spiral anymore over Befuddle Quest 7 whenever it is brought up

If it's just a community game, couldn't you ask someone else to finish it?

[RM2K3] Target shooting and racing minigames

Dirge of Doningoth has one as a mini-game in the city. You're more than welcome to steal the event code for it, if you want, though you'd probably want to learn how to make a hitbox with screen coordinates, rather than use map coordinates, like I did.

I really like the use of colours in this scene.

They Walk Among Us

Yo, Ozzy. What's happening dude?

I like it. Very retro.

Bringing Back a Potential RM Renaissance

Eh, as old as 2K3 is, it's really not that bad when compared to the newer engines. I can see people making some cool stuff in it, though I think it'll always be pretty niche.

I sorry, RPG Maker Web. Can I come back? (It's been 3 years)

You ever wonder if you share too much of your life with a niche hobbyist forum?

Pokemon just revealed the SV DLC OST and it consists entirely of stolen fan-music from YouTube. How is this legal? And the musitians can't even fight it in court because they're poor hobbyists fighting a billion dollar corporation.

In fact, Game Freak are legally entitled to do so:

These are rules written by big corporations to claim ownership of art they didn't make. Are these rules legal ?

It's kind of a murky subject.

Marvel, for example is notorious for stealing fanart in their Star Wars comics. I think the general consensus is that they're probably allowed to use it, but so far nobody's really taken them to court over it.

What exactly is and isn't allowed on this site when it comes to rips in our games?

Why do people even think they need to rip?

It's a really great learning resource, and I'd recommend working with ripped graphics to anyone who wants to learn how to get better at mapping or sprite editing.
