Final Fantasy Blackmoon Prophecy II
I've been not playing past few days because I want to do optional content before beating the game, and I've been stuck at the final save point unable to backtrack. When I saw the patch notes for 1.05 that said it fixed the bug causing a point of no return, I was so happy and downloaded it ready to go do some optional end-game stuff. Unfortunately, it's still bugged....
We can now exit from the 2nd to last map through the previously bugged door, but now the room just before that one has the same bug... unable to exit to a previous map. Here's a screenshot of the door that won't let us go back through to leave the final dungeon (1.05)
Guess I'm back to waiting until 1.06 hopefully let's us backtrack all the way to the world map this time! I want to beat Ozma and all that before finishing the last boss.
Much love for all the work you're doing :)
PS: Also just humbly asking again for the Aether Caves to be unblocked in the end-game so we can go back for the Atma weapon if we missed it like I did...

@Varn
UPRC, can you confirm whether or not it's a bug that you can't backtrack from the final save point before the end-boss, or was that intentional?
I'm on version 1.04
Alright, I do want to check out the side content before beating the game, so I guess I'm restarting that old save anyway. Sigh, that save is all the way back when you first get sent to the past..... if not being able to backtrack from the final save point is indeed a bug maybe I'll just wait a few days to see if UPRC confirms it's a bug and fixes it.
I'm playing 1.04 and ribbons absolutely don't block berserk in this version. My team is around level 52-58 or so and I can beat Garland, then I can go toe to toe with Necron well enough, but as soon as he casts Pandemic and the whole team is berserked, there's literally nothing you can do but shake your head and wipe at that point since you lose all control of your entire team permanently.

Question for those of you who have beaten the game:
Is Necron the final boss? I saved before him, which appears to be a point of no return as I can't backtrack at all, but I can't beat him either (please tell me berserk ignoring ribbons is a bug that's being fixed next update....)
I don't think I did any optional stuff if this truly is the end-game. My only other save is from like five hours previous, and if Necron is the end-boss I may just have to start over from that earlier save and try to hunt down optional content to level up more before trying him again.
If he's not the end boss and there's more content after him, I'll just level grind in the part of Garland's ship that I'm stuck in and try him some more.

So for the (I think) final boss, I'm stumped on how to deal with:
Pandemic, which gives my team berserk even through ribbons, which means I lose control and die a few rounds later. I went through all of my items and nothing that I could find protects from berserk. How do you deal with it, or do you just keep reloading and pray he doesn't choose to use that attack the whole fight?

An earlier comment says the Atma sword was in the Aether caverns, which I must have missed, but now when I try to go back to the Aether Caverns some dragoons block the door (I just got the airship). I'd hate for such an iconic weapon to be permanently missable, especially since I've found some atma fragments which supposedly combine with it.
Do the caverns open back up later? If not, could I maybe suggest those dragoons blocking the door be removed in the next game update?

Is there something I can do to make the magic NOT 1 shot one of my characters? This game seems unbalanced in a lot of ways.
The lower levels are, to be perfectly honest, really unbalanced to the point of being more tedious than fun. Random trash enemies with nukes will 1 shot anyone and you can't do anything about it except overstock on phoenix down. I don't recall exactly when, but around level 15-20 or so the health scaling on your party catches up to magic nukes, and they become a lot more reasonable.

Well, I finished the game. Wanted to stop in and say job well done, I really enjoyed it. I finished all of the optional content as well except for the 2 platinum giants in berona research lab, and the omega weapon. Both fights I just can't figure out a way to survive more than a few turns, since they just chaincast unresistable aoe damage for 6000+ every round, dramatically more incoming damage than Ami could replenish, even with the party at level 99.
I'll be looking forward to part II once it's completed!

Picked this up few days ago and have been enjoying it. Ran into a problem though, and I can't seem to figure out how to fix it. I just finished the hillsdale undergound passage dungeon, killing the boss and then looting the boxes afterwards. Suddenly, my walking speed in the game world has slowed to a crawl, like by half or more.
I figured maybe it was a temporary thing so just kind of dealt with it and continued the game. Walking as slow as molasses on the world map and in cities/dungeons, I played up through faluhd castle, etc. After leaving the village of organa, there's a cutscene with the party walking and talking, and even in the cutscene Vahn's walk speed was ridiculously slow and the other npcs all walked off screen during the cutscene since they seem to walk at the normal sprinting speed still. I figured maybe the entire game broke, so I started a new game just to test, and on a new file, Vahn sprints around no problem.
Loaded up my regular save and same thing, Vahn still walking extremely slowly. Any idea how to fix this? Everything else works fine. Battle speeds are normal, and riding a chocobo on the world map is regular speed also.
Edit: Update to my problem. I continued playing in spite of the slow walk speed problem. Later in the game, after the chocobo escape scene at surgate Vahn's walking speed fixed itself. Now he moves around at proper speeds, and all is well (and a whole lot more enjoyable to play). Don't know what caused it, but I'm just glad it's now working.
