EDIT: FF 6 made me chuckle.....
Cayene: That current is quite fast, sir.
Mash: No shit.
can't remember which of the awful localisations this is

Hmm, on the rom screen at the start it says "Translated by Skyrender" and that it is "RPGOne" version....
Its not that bad though, only sometimes it gets strange, but overall its good and fitting. Though Im sure there are better. This one translates that main "bastard" as Cefca, and I usually see him refered to as Kefka.

Finished the Opera House today in FF6, great experience, even though the "singing" is voiceless (I know, snes limitations, it definitely was something in its era). Damn squid had to mess it up....
EDIT: though I dont understand some people claiming : "This scene brought tears in my eyes"

Also I decided I will give FF 13 another try, had to reorder it, cause I sold my copy some time ago. Was watching some random video of it, and then the battle theme came up, and I remembered what I liked about the game, and I felt the urge to give it another chance. I wonder what FF Versus 13 will be like...

What Videogames Are You Playing Right Now?

So, besides from the occasional Minecraft and MW2, I started up FF 5, and so far love it. I think the time has finally come to see what those games are really about, and play most of them to the end(I played some of them, though always moved to something else before getting far ).... I guess I will follow up with 6,7,8,9, and possibly the DS versions of 3 and 4. Too bad I still dont have a PS2, and my PS3 is the newer model without backwars compatibility..... I would like to try FF X, X-2 and XII....
FFXIII on the PS3 was a letdown for me, I didnt like the battle system, I HATED some of the voice acting(the annoying cheery girl)and personalities(the boy who hates Snow). Also, I didnt like it was like a movie, sometimes it was impossible or hard to even see the damage numbers, whats up with that....I aslo like more control of my characters. Though I didnt mind the linearity, that many people hate the most.

Strange Journey will be put on hold for now, but I am definitely coming back later, this game is great. And if/when I get my PS2, I am sure I will also get SMT: Nocturne, if I get it right, it is very similar to SJ.

But...that's basically everything you do in the game, period: mine, build, and survive. So, that's not just what you do, that's what everyone will do. Myself included.

True true :D What I meant is you have to know what to build, that is find yourself some inspiration, or have good imagination. Some people only play the Classic mode with infinite blocks, so they can just build and build. I like the survival/mining part. And I looove creepers.

Thats a nice everything you have there, it would be a shame if something happened to it... SSSssSSSSsssSSSSsssSSSSsss....

RPGS... you've beaten

Hmmm RPGs Ive beaten, lets see....

PS3:
Disgaea 3 (the main story and some of the endgame)
Demons Souls (hard, but when you know the tactics, it becomes less hard and more satisfying)
Folklore (yes, its a bit more on the adventure/action side, but I still consider it rpg, and it had one of the best stories ever, the ending blew my mind when it put everything back to pieces)

PC:
Diablo 2 (only once on hell, zillion times on normal)
Baldurs Gate 2 SoA (I went solo with a cleric-mage and had max level before the datadisc, so lost interest in ToB)
Fable The Lost Chapters
Titan Quest Immortal Throne (best diablo 2 clone EVER)
Dark Messiah of Might and Magic
Guild Wars, all the campaigns and the datadisc (best MMORPG for me, it had great story, and you could go through the whole PvE part of the game solo, with only party of henchmans and heroes and proper tactics)
Two Worlds 1
Hellgate London

Those are all I can remember right now that I finished... There are probably more.

On the PS1/SNES/NES, I played shitton of games, but never really finished any.

One word: Minecraft.
Sandbox godness, who never heard about it should check it out. I bought it in its early alpha state, for a fraction of the future price. Once they get (HE gets) Survival Multiplayer going without severe bugs, it will become so much more interesting imho. Though this game is not for everyone, being 100% sandbox, you have to know what you wanna do. I wanna mine, build houses/epic structures, and survive the monsters that spawn at night/in dark places.

Also, Strange Journey. For some reason, so far I like it more than EO3. Im only at the start, after the commander let his guard down and I had to battle my first boss, but I love it.

I guess these two put other games on hold for a while(I should seriously try to finish an rpg, of all that I played, I only finished a few).

Apart from the occasional Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer. Hardcore team deathmatch is the only way to play this game for me now, much more fun, and smaller concentration of stupid kids, hackers and a**holes.

EDIT: Does someone here also love the Classic Game Room Reviews? That guy always gets my attention, and he reviews so many good games (like the Strange Journey).

I put Pedant's Book on my fire Zodiac. Her random attacks fairly often inflict sleep and she's faster than Gladiators and Hoplites so their damage is greatly increased by striking the sleeping enemy - which also cancels their turn! (If EO3 is like other EOs than TEC raises inflict rate as well as magic damage/defense/evasion/accuracy.)

Stun Blade? Don't have a use for it yet, but can Prince/sses equip it? It might be good on a back-row P. I'm just storing mine with the innkeeper's son for now.

Hmm how did I not think of putting the book on my zodiac :D Her normal attacks do almost nothing anyways, this way she would be able to contribute while not wasting MP... thx.

Two Worlds 2, so far its good, definitely better than the first buggy one(still enjoyed it though, it also had one of the best main menu songs, comparable to Morrowind and Divinity 2, wohoo :D ).
Playing a mage-like character should be fun, as you can create and link many kinds of spells. Also the graphics are gorgeous(graphics dont usually matter to me, but when they are good, its a plus), and for some reason, the game runs very smoothly on my few years old pc, with decent graphic settings. Great optimalization!

You can check the song of the first two worlds menu here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C1UK4uTDQ5I
I personally love it :D May not seem like much, it picks up at 1:25. If only the first game was as good as the song :) Still wasted many hours on that game though.

EDIT: In EO3, is there any use for the Stun Blade or Pedants book? Both have only 1 attack, but 4 slots of chance for status effects.... Are they needed later on? Selling them for 4en seems like a waste, but they seem pretty useless.

"B" is basement - the crone of the Senatus always calls them "basements."

The reason you're not scared of Largebills is because you have two heavy armor people up front. They have a high ATK score that is scary to Gladiators/Buccaneers/Monks/anybody else in your front row through B4F. :<

Have you bought some Giant Kill class skill for your Arbalist? It's terrific for taking down single-target FOEs or Great Anacondas.

I have to admit, while not scared, I start to hate Largebills too, because while playing today, they decided to show up in every random encounter on B2F, draining my monks MP quickly. Damn those birds, maybe I should finish exploring the 2nd floor during night, no Largebills during night it seems.

My Arbalist has 1 point in that skill, and a pretty nice weapon compared to other party members, so while the prince or hoplite do around 25-30 dmg on the Largebills, the arbalist scores around 80 with Heavy Shot, so I can usually take them down in 2 turns. But I dont know if she hits so much because of the skill, or because of the 250en weapon and 5 points in crossbow mastery. Too bad I cant find any actual precise skill information (like how much defense does Guard Order give, how much attack does Attack Order give etc..)

What Videogames Are You Playing Right Now?

Ordered Two Worlds 2 yesterday for the PS3. Why didn't I know this game is out?! Even though Two Worlds 1 was somewhat buggy and broken, there were many things to enjoy and I liked the game overall. And now I saw TW2 reviews(not many of them yet), previews, videos, and it looks gorgeous. Not expecting much, but hoping for a pleasant surprise.

To add to the EO3 talk: I am now at the start of floor B3F (what does the B mean anyway) with my Prince/Hoplite in the front and Arbalist/Zodiac/Monk. So far so good, those Largebills I keep hearing about dont pose much threat, they only have too much hp compared to others on 2nd floor. I got my Arbalist a 250en weapon, and oh my god so much damage with either normal attacks or the multi-enemy skills. Now I just need more money for armor, better weapons for the rest of my party, and for sea exploration, so far I can afford only those 20en trips for fish close enough to the port.
