I'm sure it was just a coincidence that they changed the cast from all male into all female, right?
They are so bad at pandering that even though they try, they still fail by making the characters such obvious stereotypes. The goal wasn't to make a feminist movie, but you can't tell me it never entered the mind of the idiots to pander to feminists when they changed the cast from all-male to all-female.
"Ermagerd lets get those feminists to blog about this movie by removing all males! Feminists god alot of dosh, just look at all their mugs that say "fuck males", those must cost alot."

I kinda skimmed the first chapter and it's like cliché town all over the place. It's hard for me to tell if it's ironic or not because it's so cliché. Is it?

I guess it does happen. Like LockeZ said, it happens more often when it's a unusual couple. If I were in my teens I would probably get more excited by two heteros than now though. Even if I imagine them bonking, it's just kinda meh. It's weird that I still even imagine it. Guess it's my reptile brain or something.
If it's a great game I can ignore the bonking of 2 male parts. But it's usually handled like shit. Most games with gays in them that I know of have the gay thing as the focus, and it's very much sexual, even if there's no bonking on-screen.
That's just the way it is with most games and non-normal couples.
Maybe I'm wrong, cuz I don't really play alot of games anyway.

Do you apply the same idea to any other relationship in a game? Like, if there's a hetero couple do you only imagine them doing mattress aerobics the whole time? Does this occur irl, too? Because I can only imagine that being incredibly inconvenient and confusing, especially when around your grandparents or parents or other family or anyone else in your life who is a couple.

I think two guys against the world would make for a great game, if only because it shouldn't matter what the gender of the gay person/couple is because they're more than that. By saying "I'd play a lesbian game", it really sounds like your fetishizing being gay because you like the idea of two women tongue kissing each other while bumpin' uglies in bed. They're the ones in love, you're just a spectator.
Who cares if it's a "sausage fest", it's beautiful either way.
Even if they don't "bump uglies" in a game, in my imagination they will. I wouldn't watch gay porn no matter how great the persons involved are. I'm pretty sure most people think that way, judging by the popularity of anime amongst males of a certain type.
