I'm not sure if I'm one to talk but I'm also trying to do a retro RPG using some editted Final Fantasy sprites but with the RTP chipsets. Try not to make your game a Blackmoon Prophecy ripoff. If you want original music, then you should find some soundfonts (Setzer's is a good one)and download SynthFont. Facesets though are the hardest to get though if you want original characters.

Why are you using Blackmoon Prophecy characters? It's pretty easy to recolor FFV and Romancing Saga sprites.

Are you going to change Kimora's face? No offense but mismatched faces are so RM2K and noobish. You probably won't get good reviews. I'm sure if her hair is really meant to be that color, a little bit of Photoshopping/GIMPing can be done to make it that color. Granted, the RMVXA face creator options for females aren't the best but this is just a suggestion.

If you are willing to change some graphics, then realize Vera's battle sprite could easily be replaced with an unedited Dancer Faris as her sprite is actually a man. Ami's overworld sprite has a character too (the overworld sprite of Vera's battlecharset infact recolored to match her in fact.)
