I first got interested in RPG Maker after watching X-Play do a review of RPG Maker for the Play Station. Years later I found RPG Maker VX Ace and decided to buy it. My first RPG Maker game, Dragon Lancer, was approved by Deckiller and became available to download on January 15, 2013.

You could just put a comment in your code that does nothing, but a person without knowledge won't know that.

The only rule on adult content I can find is that screenshots cannot contain pornographic material.
There's also a rule called "Bad Content Rule." So if your game looks distasteful they can reserve the right to deny it.
Based on that, I would say you can have the themes you discussed provided they are done tastefully.

I just saw a slew of DLCs already being offered for the engine, so you can purchase the bundle when it comes out. It sort of concerns me because it almost seems like they cut content out of the engine and are selling it as extra. I'm not saying that for sure, but business practices with video games today seem to be pointing towards this trend. Beware before buying that you might be getting an incomplete product.
