As always TDS, cool script. Been thinkin' about this recently and realising that setting up scenes with followers is a lot harder than it need be.


Glad you liked the script, and yeah, I was playing an old dragon quest game and I noticed the followers moved on their own in certain parts and when I tried to do it in RPG Maker I found there were no commands for followers, even though they inherit their properties from the same place as the player/events.

- User Resource subscription. Not really vital, but it would be nice to be able to receive notifications when people upload their resources like scripts, articles, tutorials etc.

I know of that video. I asked the creator if I could add it to the media of the game. I thought you wanted to see a more in-depth LP.

I'm not sure what you mean by that. Is it that you don't like giving feedback on games that don't have a lot of feedback? Because this game on this website got 2 public posts that are feedback out of 178 downloads so far, but I'm sure that's because the demo is short. Still, I'm surprised at how little feedback I've received here, I was not expecting a shower of vocal support, but at least some general opinions, suggestions, complaints.

So far all I've received in huge numbers is PM's from people who want scripts they saw in the demo or images.

A more in-depth LP or demo of the game?

I've asked in a few forums where people offer to LP RPG Maker games, but sadly my game does not seem to meet the requirements criteria for most people to do a LP. I'll see if I can make a longer demo for someone to do an LP with.

I would do a playthrough myself, but I don't think people would like it very much without some sort of narration in it.

Here is an example screenshot.



In this example the first follower will move down instead of the event because of the script call above the command. As long as the event command affects character events it can be used on followers like Show Animation, Show Balloon Icon, etc.

The 0 represents the follower index and 0 in this case is the first follower.

Auto Battle Command

It's probably because of the nature of ATB systems, which require waiting in order to take your turn and as a result have no need of the "Start Turn" method which encompasses all turns.

In order to add an auto battle feature to an ATB battle system it would probably require a brand new script specifically designed for it that can be turned on/off at any time to regain control of the characters.

It's a simple feature to add, so I'm sure if you ask the creator of the script he/she could add it to their battle system.
