Article Trade
Is there anyone skilled at the mathematics that would like to please me by creating a tutorial on mathematics? It's about the only thing I find difficult when dealing with battle systems. An idea generator would be great.
I'll make a trade! Someone write one for me and I'll write one for them, and then someone else can request something while offering a different type of article. (I'm fairly comfortable in writing in any other category other than mathematics.)

The story planning process

I've always liked battles with map-like backgrounds.
Your Priorities
author=Mewd link=topic=8.msg46#msg46 date=1180935532Yes. This being the most important factor I find. I believe you can't have your other elements of your story taken seriously (story, gameplay, audio) if your game looks like some trash you found and tossed together with your only regard to expediency.
Are you a pixel artist who can't stand inconsistency in graphical style?

I think the cool style of the menu outlines in the upper right hand corner and the lower right hand is ruined by the gradient bars and menu on the left. You could have a really sweet looking GUI if you made the rest of it look like the outline you have.
Are the sprites all your work? (They look great!) The landscape looks ripped.

A Couple Things in the Works
Will people be able to submit resources ala rm2knet.com? Not that I'd particularly like the feature, as that generally just encourages people to be more uncreative in their game making endeavors.
Congratulations
2006 Releases - Master List
author=Rue669 link=topic=22.msg219#msg219 date=1181321623Not a bad idea, electing people to judge.
The only thing bad about everyone being able to vote and no judges is that well... you can get someone who played one 2006 game and they're nominating that game in all the categories because that's the only game they've played.
Did they really bitch about judges? How dumb are people?
Maybe if the community voted on judges... that would be cool, and then the judges would have to play through a lot of these games.
Anyway, great list Blindmind.
