Um, if the characters are that forgettable, perhaps it might be a sign that you need to flesh their story out a lot more? Granted this sounds like a step up from Warrior Dee, but honestly, almost anything is.
Also, a month is a bit too early to jump right into RM*, unless it's meant to be an RPG made for a contest or event.

08-15-2009: Experience Bug Slain
Is it because there were no monsters higher than level 40? I've seen that happen in some games. Heck, Final Fantasy Mystic Quest barely goes beyond 40 (it stops at 41), and Dragon Quest games effectively stop around level 40 as well. And as for RM2k(3) games, level 20 is often the end of the game (or demo).
Current Plan
I'm thinking of doing the same type of thing. After all, even the finished product isn't going to be perfect. Just ask Kentona about Hero's Realm!
Second Befuddle Quest?
I thought we DID have an event calendar already. You know, where the dates of Release Something VII, VIII, and IX show up? Though it could be clearer. Maybe it should be part of the new layout?
