WIP'S PROFILE
I made this site and it's awesome. But I don't run it anymore. Now I'm just a plebe like you.

Aghhh help
Please do not double post.
As for more advice, so far you have shown very little of your game. You should focus more on the gameplay aspects of your game as opposed to fancy backgrounds and graphics.

Aghhh help
You should think about making your game stand on legs other than rich multimedia. How on earth are you using 90MB for graphics?
Weird error when trying to submit a tutorial
you wanna know what?
For the record, grod has submitted a vast amount of broken content. He has submitted countless games with limited descriptions and reviews with no substance.
Lufia 2 XP Engine - Comments and Suggestions?

author=prexus link=topic=5.msg1481#msg1481 date=1183539770Yeah the thing with it, is that it's based on font height and then customizable padding. I'll probably put another value in for people to enter the height of letter tails so it'll look better.
IGL is Ika Game Library.
He's making a code package for Ika that mimicks the default code in RPG Maker XP.
@WIP: It's nice, but I hate that the selector is about 1px too tall.
author=BadLuck link=topic=5.msg1500#msg1500 date=1183593467There will most likely be events. But, you'll still need to know some programming anyways.
It'd probably be more efficient, but you'd still need to learn a lot of programming to be able to use it, since as far as I know, there won't be any "events".
author=Chartley link=topic=5.msg1477#msg1477 date=1183520025It's copied from RMXP, yes.
WIP, what is IGL? And, is that menu supposed to mimic the look of the rmxp default system set, because it looks extremely similar.
IGL is a codebase to give people some starting point for ika RPGs. It's modelled after some of RMXP's codebase, with some ika specifics and some more efficient stuff in it.
Things We Wish For... Part 1.
No wikis. I'd rather have a solid foundation for the site, rather than waste time setting up things that I don't believe there's a demand for. You're basically suggesting an addition to the site that would remove part of the purpose of having a site.

First in-game version of IGL's default menu. Took me about 10 minutes to make, not counting some other internal code changes I made.
Non-RM Engines: What's stopping you?
Hoping to stir up some discussion on other engines. So, I put out the question: what is stopping you from using other engines that are not in the RM series? I have a few ideas.
Feel free to discuss.
- Ease of use. RM really kicks the crap out of other engines when it comes to the "Map Test". That test being how long it will take someone to open the program, create a new map, and walk around on it. Most other engines fail this test miserably.
- No starting point. RM gives you a complete game engine to work with. The others do not. While you are able to create basically any concept you want with other engines, there is a large amount of upfront costs to get there.
Feel free to discuss.
