WHEELMANZERO'S PROFILE

Just a guy who loves rpg's. Thanks to some serious encouragement from several new friends and the community at large, I was able to complete one of my own. Game making is my favorite hobby, so you can expect more games on the way. Play on fellow gamers, play on!

Those are all great ideas! Just...one's I didn't think of. In hindsight I wish there was a way I could've made it clearer that Sullivan Manor couldn't be unlocked. Those two characters will play a fairly big role in the next game though, so you can look forward to exploring the manor in the sequel.

Umbral Soul

You kidding? I've been looking forward to these every time! Feel free to flood away!
Fun fact: Villains are usually brilliant 30% of the time, and complete idiots for the other 70%. They have all this power, countless minions and monsters under their rule, and sometimes even god-like powers, yet somehow they always manage to lose to a small band of plucky young teenagers. It takes real talent to be that bad at your job.

For anyone who's curious, any questions or issues I haven't been addressing here I've been answering through e-mails. If I didn't, this forum (Is that what it's called? I'm calling it that.) would be 46 pages long by now!

rhb84- Great to hear you enjoyed yourself! Developing the characters and having their personalities play off of each other was a lot of fun. To answer your question:

Talon serves under Pandora like the others, but he was left alone to do his own thing. I didn't add him as a party member since there were enough party members as it is, and having a human as a summon would have been...odd. His story, along with that of the girl he kidnapped, will be expanded upon in the sequel.

dicccall- The dark altar is on the eastmost side of the world map, you'll have to use the southern pass to get there. It's the big purple evil-looking tower.

guillaume- Pandora's theme plays only a few times in the game, the first being when you face the first boss in the game.It plays whenever she's doing something particularly evil. Marcus and Gryger don't have theme songs though.

The ending theme is called "The Villain of this Story" by Machinae Supremacy.

Must...hold back...tears of joy. So this is just...wow. One of the best games you've ever played? Woooooow! I can't believe I was so close to not sharing this game at all. I mean, it's accomplished its goal an extent that I never could have dreamed of. I don't think compliments get any better than that.

So the thing is, I'm just a hobbyist dev who likes make games for fun, much like most rpg maker users. Rpg maker is an amazing enough program that anyone with some patience and imagination can create something great with it. You could make a game like this if you really wanted to.

I plan on making a direct sequel to this game in which all the characters make a return in one way or another, so you can look forward to continuing the story. I also have about half a dozen more stories in mind, some of which are tied to Umbral Soul's story, but I don't want to get ahead of myself. Let's just say if things go as planned, this will end up being a pretty detailed series.

Thanks so much for playing and sharing your thoughts, I am absolutely beaming right now. For the record, I don't think you're creepy, I think you're awesome-tastic.

Heroes of Alore

There was one game crashing bug I found. If you go to the town to the south on the first world map, the game will crash because it's missing a music file. Hope that helps.

Umbral Soul

Heh heh, let's let OwMeEye discover the game's secrets for himself buddy, I think it'll be more fun that way. Of course if he does get stuck, I'm always available for questions.

Umbral Soul

OwMeEye- Thanks man! Your let's play has been so thorough it's allowed me to catch spelling errors I didn't notice before, so you've already been a huge help. Unfortunately, helping kindly townsfolk is a job for a hero, and your party is kind of...you know, evil. (Or at the very least, severely misguided.)

And yeah, Ragnarok is like that one nanny who keeps you from eating anything with sugar in it and spoonfeeds you castor oil instead. I've been following your channel like a chick following a momma duck, loving every moment of your videos.

gothicmiriel- Grettings flgkshjnlhlrnhkbfaglk gal! (I feel like there should be a superheroine with that name somewhere.) I'm glad I was able to help introduce your friend to the wonderful world of rpg maker games. There's only about a billion of them out there, many of them are a lot of fun, and the best part is...most of them are my personal favorite price; $0.00! (tax included)The Fairy Tail music can be a little subtle, so here's a list of what I used.

"Celestial Spirit World Into Chaos"

"Dark Future"

"Tartaros"

"Fierce Fight of the Force of Mortality"

That show has some jammin' music. The sound clips I used for the demon lord came from the same voice actor who played Zeref in the english dubbed version of Fairy Tail, as well as Tales of Xillia 2's Chronos.I hope you continue enjoying the game, and feel free to ask any more questions you might have.

Umbral Soul

I'm blown away over here Mortal Man, I mean really, WOW! I'm a fan of grinding myself, (my Squirtle was a Wartortle before I left viridian forest in pokemon blue) and I love the feeling of absolute power that comes with giving a boss the smackdown treatment. Hearing you had so much fun is just so fulfilling, so thank you for sharing your thoughts.

spoiler

But dang, I didn't expect so many people to be able to go toe to toe with Athena with just two party members. You must be a grinding machine bro! She was supposed to kick your butt for the sake of the plot, but you must have been hilariously over leveled. Unfortunately I can't think of a way to spin the story for you to win that battle since...well, you know what happens.

Now I know what you're thinking. "Ugh, we're going back to playing heroes again...booooring! I wanna go back to incinerating people with my three story tall fire-breathing shadow dragon." Well don't you worry my friend, the sequel will have plenty of elements to make it worth playing, and I intend to make it even better than this game in some regards. It's mostly going to focus on story and battles, my two favorite rpg elements.

So welcome to rmn buddy, I hope you enjoy the sequel just as much.
