You're supposed to be able to climb cliffs in that dungeon, just...not that one. Sassa-frassin' passable moss tiles!

Dasgibtesnet, I happen to think Three Wheelmans of Destiny would be an excellent game.Pfft, you young people and your fancy graphics. Back in my day, we played pacman and we liked it!

I am both extremely flattered and highly disturbed, but mostly flattered! I never imagined the game would come anywhere near 1k downloads. Come to think of it, I was surprised when it reached 100.

Don't you worry Silver, the walkthrough will be in there, and I'll try to make it as spoiler free as possible for those who have yet to complete the game.

Ha! Yeah it's a boatload of work, and making even a small amount of gameplay takes a while. A big part of what got me through was the fact that a lot of the work didn't really feel like work to me, it was fun. Certain events however were mindnumbingly tedious to set up, but it paid off in the end. The game's still far from perfect, but I'm it fixing up. I'm even more excited to get going on the sequel, but there are some other things I need to take care of first.

No sweat bro. Those are some very interesting (and labor intensive) ideas. There aren't any alternate endings, just the one. The reason why I only made one ending is because I wanted the story to be set in stone. See, the sequel is built off of events in Umbral Soul unfolding a certain way. For instance, it'll assume you obtained all the summons and completed all the sidequests. If I were to branch out the story into many different possible paths, players wouldn't know which one to use as canon for the sequel.

I actually always wanted to do a choice game where the story unfolds in a radically different way depending on how you play, but I don't think Umbral Soul's story would be a good fit for that. You'll be evil and you'll like it dag-nabit! Maybe I'll do a game like that in the far future, just don't quote me on it, I've got a lot on my plate as it is!

I figured the colosseum would be the main source of demon's draughts, but I do realize I forgot to give a lot of enemies sellable drops. There will be more in the next version, which will make making money a lot easier. Thanks for the tip, bro.

All foes succumb to the sheer power of Gyger's 6 pack abs. One flex and legions of men fall in his wake. Thanks for playing ghabaz, I hope it was an enjoyable experience!

I personally prefer random encounters because on-map encounters usually cause me to dodge enemies, which I find annoying. What really gets my goat about random encounters is that most of the time they're too frequent and sometimes I'm unable to escape them. I made sure that most encounters in the game had a 100% escape rate, and that the encounter rate wasn't too high.

I was hoping that having so many characters would encourage players to mix and match, improving replay value, but you could probably beat the entire game with the same 2 characters and 1 summon.

As you pointed out, items are nearly worthless in this game. Items are for weak, pitiful heroes who need a crutch, but a villain can crush any enemy with their own power.

I thought using demon's draughts consecutively was a pain too, but thanks to a tip from a friend, I've made it more streamlined for the next version.

Hey, thanks for your feedback ghabaz, I'm glad my pet project could entertain you for a while. I hope you enjoy the sequel as well!

Yeah 1for3 pointed that one out to me earlier. It's already been fixed for the next version. The moral of the story is: when you have 500 events in your game with 4 condition tags each, make sure you hire 30-40 playtesters.

Hey now, patience is a virtue there bud. If you rush it, there's a greater chance it'll be sloppy. The entire point of the upgrade is to erase the sloppiness.

Umbral Soul

Do what you gotta do, buddy. I'll catch you later.

Hey thanks! Sometimes tinkering with lighting pays off.
