Game Maker Platforming Tutorial
This is a really helpful tutorial:) Thanks alot. There arent't many people who use game maker on this site, but this would be a good tutorial for beginners. Currently on this site there is a Platforming game called Fantasia, it uses similar coding and this could help improve it.

This is what Fantasia was supposed to be until I made Extreme changes to the development of the game. Again, this is just for history. I was flipping through old images of the game and I thought i'd share a bit of this games early history.

This image is so.....old. Fantasia was originally a platformer I was working on called Ninja Legacy. It was going to be about Shadow,a ninja kid who seeks revenge for his sensai's death. As you can see, the HUD has had a major update compared to this one, and the character's sprites didn't match the atmosphere around him.
This has nothing to do with the current game, but this is just for history purposes.
By the way, I still have the original Ninja Legacy Game and I can upload it here just for fun. Beware though, this engine is OLD and will only serve as reference for what this game went through.

There is another image just like this, but this one shows what happens when you have 30 LP at Skill 1. If you do, you can learn Battle lust (Skill from lufia 2 ROS that increases ATK during battle). After you Learn this, another skill item(s) will appear.
Also, there is a permanent item that increases a certain status as long as you have the LP to do it.

I draw alot of my characters as well. Could anybody let me know what program to use for coloring like this?

mmm,Treasure Dungeon huh? Sounds interesting...
Treasure Dungeons are the alternate routes of main dungeons. They usually have difficult monsters and hordes of treasure at the very bottom of them (some rewarding, others not so much). This is a good way of strolling away from the main plot just to get some extra cash, experience, and treasure. Expect to find a lot of these.
This originated in Lufia: The legend returns, but I added some stuff to it to make it fresh.

Right up my alley! I'm a glutton for punishment.
Me too:) I love challenging games and bosses. In my opinion, RPG games should be challenging, but not impossible.

This is a battle that takes place at one of the treasure dungeons known as Hornet Hive. Tiara (girl in the upper right attacking a hornet) would be very useful here because of her strong fire magic.
