YEASTER'S PROFILE

Hi! Thank you for peeping at my profile.
I like making modern-themed games. My first game, Onyx, was made in 2006, when I was a senior in high school. So it's pretty ROUGH, but people seem to like it? Total Chaos is my personal favorite, but it has some, erm, issues, too. Mystery Man Zero is coming you guys, I haven't forgotten about it. A full-game will come out even if it takes 10 years. Oh gosh, I hope it doesn't take that long, but you get what I'm saying, right?
Right now, I am also working on A Nightmare in Sunnydale, a horror genre mesh-up fangame, if you will. I also like playing games. Actually, playing RPGM games is legit one of my favorite pastimes. *insert smiley here*
When I can fit it in, I do a little bit of Gatekeeper as well, a sci-fi fantasy about a team of god-lite forces, Gatekeepers, who have to protect the dying Earth from forces they don't even know about.
If thou think they can take it, download some of my stuff!

I don't get what the big deal is with Ocarina of Time.
Link to the Past is much, much better.
Just saying.
I really liked ALTTP when I was a kid, but my file kept erasing. Stupid SNES.
That said, I was OBSESSED with 'Ocarina' when it first came out. I was like twelve and thought it was the most incredible thing ever.
I propse an Amusing Image thread

post=104359post=104357Excuse me where is P2: Innocent Sin on this list?
1) Persona 2: Eternal Punishment
2) Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne
3) Final Fantasy IV
4) Earthbound
5) Digital Devil Saga 2
I don't think Innocent Sin holds a candle to Eternal Punishment, if I'm being honest. If I played IS first without EP having been made yet, I would've been pissed the hell off. The ending was such ass.
Together, both games are awesome, amazing, brilliant, full of depth, etc, but EP to me just felt so much more "complete." I know IP came first, but something about it just felt "empty." It was essentially a giant ass prologue.
Also, I felt EP had better, more mature characters. IS's characters (except Maya<3) were irritating and bratty--but then, most teenagers are. I definitely was.
What was the last thing you bought at the time of your reading this?
New Project with RM2K/2K3?
I'm done. Dead @ the last few replies.
RPGM2k3 is limited, but has a crapload of resources available. I was initially blown by the "every RPG2k3 looks the same argument" because (in my humble opinion) that is completely and utterly false. It does exactly what I need it to do for MMZ and Vanity, so I have no reason to upload those to a new maker.
I haven't tried XP so I can't judge it, but I've been using VX for about two weeks now, and so I far I really like it. The RTP is awful but you don't have to use them obviously, and there are some good resources available (or at least I think I've found some good ones). It's pretty simple to learn and you can find a lot of scripts that can really help you make a fun game.
But yeah, I don't really have a preference. Just give me a good game. I couldn't care less where it was made from.

What are you thinking about right now?
The weather is finally getting good again. I wanted to buy some new shoes this weekend, but my phone bill ate my bi-weekly spending limit right up. x.x
Modern Chipset
Game Design Idea-A Saga Frontier-esque game that isn't shit.
SaGa Frontier had so much potential. I'd love to play a game that borrows from its basic idea, but actually make it good.
What do people care about?
I was going to post some long rambling reply about how I make games because I find it fun but Fallen-Griever
Pretty much. Feld also posted some things I wanted to touch on, probably much better than I would have.
If reaching thousands of thousands of downloads was ALL I cared about, I would've quit when Onyx was in its demo stage. Not sure if this is actually relevant to the topic, but yeah.
Please post here oldbies. I am very tired and I cannot see very well...
I think games have certainly gotten prettier, but I don't think the RPGM scene is getting worse per say. There are still lots of cool and interesting games being made if you look hard enough. I like playing some of the more UTR/overlooked games personally, because they're usually (to me) more interesting than the hyped up ones.
Then again, I could have good taste and just so happened to have picked good games, or I'm too easily pleased. Either one works.
