Jew joke

I would say its ok, as long as its clear you don't really feel that way. Usually the joke is so ridiculous that no one with a sense of humor would take it seriously, so you're probably fine. Of course, southpark and family guy go out of thier way to try to push the boundries of what can be made funny. If you are comfortable doing that then go for it, but keep in mind that jokes like that will cause people to view the game as "edgey"

I'd have to see the joke in context to determine if it is funny or in bad taste, but my guess is that its ok since you don't seem to be the type who tries to go for the shock laughs.

What are you working on now?

ok, good this is the right topic this time.

I just completed and uploaded the playable demo for Allinlia. Its fairly short, maybe one or two hours.

My god did I have to do alot of playtesting to get everything working right.

To Arms!

ah, so this was your entry for action52.

Spot Checking the Rating System Volume I: February-March 2010

guests and new users filter thier searches based on the stars and click on game pages, again, based on the stars.

Even though the people who have been here long enough to know that they aren't really that important compared to the content of the review, they still have a huge impact if you are talking about how many people will give your game a play.

More reviews for those highest rated games certainly couldn't hurt. The more people review them, the more aware we are of whether these really are amon the site's best games or not.

I agree with you, of course, but I think what max has found through this study is that the games with the higher scores get the most downloads regardless of what is actually written in the reviews. The stars are what people see before they click on the game page; the review's content is what people see after they have already clicked on the game page, clicked on the game's reviews page, clicked on the review, and then read the review. This difference is important I think.

The review content SHOULD be what matters, but for alot of people its the score. That is why game creators get so bent out of shape when a mostly postive review gives a low score. They know people will think the game is worse then even the reviewer thought it was. The bottom line is we need more reviews, but we already knew that for awhile now.

Writer's block!

that would certainly fit what the game has been doing up to this point

Origin

I had (and still might have) the same problem when it comes to bosses. Its hard to judge thier difficulty accurately when you get infinite items in playtest.

Origin

The red birds are fine, I beat them on my first attempt. They have alot of HP and are quit strong but if you use smart moves you can beat them with little difficulty.

its TOBY who needs to be nerfed. I've tried and lost against him about 4 times at least. The latest time absolutely everything went right for me, I had near full health and energy after the first (tough) battle you need to fight before facing him, my guys were all staying alive after the first two spotlight drops, his breakdances were missing (until the very end at least) and I had a real groove going with my attacking/healing/buffing/debuffing strategy and plenty of soda to spare to keep that energy up, but the guy just would not die! I'd seriously consider nerfing the dude's HP. I like his boss battle since it is tough and intense but its frusterating to do well for like 20 turns only to have him outlast you and your items. Its a shame he is so near impossible because its a game I'd really like to see the rest of. (all my guys were level 6 when I faced him, is that lower then you planned the player to be?) Lol, it'd be just my luck if he had like 1 HP left when he finally got me.

he does make a good point that the highest and lowest rated games deserve a second review.

Complete Chaos - your favorite 4 character party

I have completed absolutely everything in my playable demo.

I merely have to test it until all the bugs are killed (or at least all the ones I happen to notice, I am trying to do every possible interaction so we shall see.) For the 5 or so people who are interested in this expect it to come soon

edit: ack wrong topic! Fuck! Well just pretend this is the what are you working on topic so i don't look so retarded.
