Why you no attack?
Even though it shows up as a separate command in combat, the act of attacking is used as a skill with no MP cost in Ace. Deleting it would prevent the attacker from attacking.
My guess on the reasoning for this is to make it easier to establish your own attack formula without them (EB!) having to take up more space somewhere outside of the skills database.

A newbie guide
I would also suggest visiting Tigerseye along with Willowsidhe's RMXP Tutorials for any tutorials related to RMXP and the VX and Ace community for anything related to VX or VX-Ace. Note that the VX Community won't help you with Ace related material, but the tutorials they have for VX can generally be applied to VX-Ace as well.
All of these sites have some great tutorials to help you along from the very beginning stages to advanced.

The Lost Girls
Nothing in several months. Well, just played through it myself, and for the most part I enjoyed the game. It's a tad confusing where to go at first, but not terribly difficult to figure out, and the story is a bit refreshing compared to all the other games I've played (ie., instead of zombies we have demons, instead of saving the world the world has already been invaded).
My one big gripe is the battle system, but mainly because of how long the battles drag out. An example of this is that the first real boss has like close to 10,000 HP, and your character hits more or less from about 6 to 7 hundred. At that rate it takes about 15 rounds, and if you get hit with a Poison Attack it's all but over for you.

Demon Legacy Review
I agree with sbester's review, and I think he pointed out the facts that bogged this game down. I had been planning my own review a few months back, having just completed the game, but at the time didn't feel the need to revive such an old game. One thing I would definitely add (that sbester hinted at) is how jumbled the story gets, and it's hard to follow.
However, this was a sort of gem in the grind, hiding its potential. I think the game could really go on to the links of being epic and close to old console standards if some of what sbester suggested was implemented.
Assuming the world doesn't blow up before 2013.

Demon Legacy Review
YESYESYESYESYES!!!
Next step, I think, is to make a worthy walkthrough, which I see you already have a placeholder for. Congratulations for sticking this out, since I'm sure there were times you were tempted to quit.
Previews
'Tis is goin to be an excellent ride; plus it will be nice to have both copies so I can play whichever version I most interested in at the time.
People complaining about a half ass / bad review
Blue Prints of Time
Better late than never. I just got around to trying this out, and the problem with the game (unless it's been modified since I last downloaded it in October) is that your character literally moves at a snails pace. The character doesn't need to look like he's running for his life, but for crying out loud, he should at least be moving at a decent speed.
People complaining about a half ass / bad review
I'm not sure if this was directed at me or not, as I was just offering a suggestion. Personally, I could care less, but every time a review gets written on this site, it seems a horde of people chime in with their own personal thoughts of what the review should have been like, instead of writing their own review. I think too many people spend their time worrying over a score than the actual contents of the review, which is why I thought dropping the score might help.
Whatever the staff decide to do is perfectly fine by them, but saying you'd like to shove peoples' heads into an oven makes you look moronic yourself... if not a bit psychotic.
Just sayin'.

We have staff who check the reviews. Most of the time as long as they're reasonably well-written and not flame-war worthy, they'll pass. Why? Because people have their own opinions of games and you can't please everyone when you write a review. It's usually about how you felt the game stacked up and that's going to change for each person based on their own experiences in gaming.
This is how you get people who gush over the most simplistic and annoyingly stupid games, and others who are very critical of the things they play. It's part and parcel of being a site like RMN that caters towards players and developers.
My advice? Get over it.
That said, there was some talk a while back about looking into making a difference between critiques and reviews. We might look into it again.
If you have any issues with a review that someone has written, drop a line to one of the staff. Don't be stupid about it though, okay? Saying that such and such review is bad because it's critical of your slow-ass walk and text speed will make you come off looking like a complete moron and possibly make the staffers want to shove your head in an oven.
And I'd be down to help them with that. Just sayin'.
