The Peach Wasn't Enough

Okay, you're supposed to push the stone. There are two endings, depending on how you push the stone
(you can reach over and push the stone sideways against the pillar)
.

The big map is mainly for extra grinding, and I probably could stand to add more enemies and stuff. You're probably playing the earlier copy, as the second one points out that you went too far (vaguely). It also has more of an impact from grind (provided you rest at the house).

I'm gonna see if I can improve some issues. Then I'll release version 3. And yes, the scenery is dull. But remember the origin story. The land is kinda freshly created and there are no other people to speak of. That doesn't give me much to use.

I think you've made a mistake for the download link. It tells me that the link is wrong...

Urgh, I'm getting a login screen.

Update: Try it now.

Did you see the water disaster?

This comment made me realize something, and I replayed the game (the short-short version) to be certain.

I didn't see the Wind disaster before, since I went after it first. However, that's been rectified.

*Edit: Somewhat related to this...

...and somewhat ironic to me is that I finished a play of Grandia Xtreme not terribly long ago? I forget the exact date, but, my guess is a couple weeks ago, at most. Anyway, that game involves the party looking into the "Elemental Disaster", and there were ruins associated with (in order that they open up in the game) Earth, Fire, Water, and Wind. It's kinda weird, since the dungeons (and general game-world) feel post-disaster, but the characters keep saying that they are there to stop the disaster.

I mean, elemental-based dungeons are not a new concept, but, I guess I'm picking up this similarity anyway. That, and Grandia games usually have a decent humor angle, but, it's severely lacking in Xtreme.

The water disaster is the best disaster though. A little bit of shaking/tornados < a giant wave covering over land.

Darkness of Hope - The Pocket Watch

... >_< Why do people make splashy game pages, then not follow through? Don't post a page if you haven't got a demo!

I finished the demo! This game is awesome!

I assume those two dancing fools (redhead and the one in the dress) are the ones that worked on the mansion of doom?
Thank you for playing. :)
Two dancing characters is a secret of the story.
You can see the story in the Full game!

Btw, when you do get the full game, can you also post it on itch.io? I do not have Steam (it has trouble keeping my password, and there are memory problems that make it more like a virus than something I want on my computer), so I'd want a way to buy and download.

Dragon's Gate

Oh yes, the Gate of Life was about where I gave up. I understood in principle that you need balanced sunlight, away from ice and fire, and out of Hel's gaze. But the fact that I wasn't sure whether you needed just one spot or many meant I wasn't sure everything that qualified, or when to stop. The big screen (not able to easily seem the Hel statues) just made it worse.

Definitely a solution section, with the hints all together (quick reference), and the solution hidden (so you only see if you absolutely need).

I'm proud to say I got Death and Light after that, but I heard Fire is probably impossible due to puzzle issues, and Life stumped me (and I couldn't find the dark spot bef I quit).

Dragon's Gate

All I want to say right now is that Iris speaks of solving the second verse of the tablet.

Steel thy nerves
The gate will only open to one
who faces it without the desire to quit

Solved it. That's a horrible puzzle. For a stupid amount of time I was mashing buttons (thinking the second part was about connecting the ice, after I did the dragon thing). And then I thought of meeting its gaze without quitting so I did the Earthbound waiting awhile thing. I was pretty peeved by the time I solved it.

What do they mean by the "center of the void"? I'd think it would have something to do with finding the biggest gap, but I've been wandering for some time with no luck.

Update no update right.

Ummm, it's possible, just possible, that you may have what I had roughly 1-2 years ago. Lucky I downloaded your game, huh? Here's probably what's happening. A save fail. I mean, it should be saving, and it shows saving at your end, but it doesn't ACTUALLY FUCKING (pardon my language) SAVE.

Go to my page for Tales from the Reaper, exactly what I went through. Perfect game and people were saying it wasn't updating right. It's not RMN's fault, you can do the same on Google Drive, no dice.

You will have to do a series of things.

1. First, go to UAC (I assume your computer is somewhere Win 7 onward, and UAC is why we're having this discussion; basically the thing that keeps asking "Are you certain you want to make changes in your own computer which you know, you kinda paid for?" See, this is a problem because it will make database updates that aren't being tracked. So what happens is it saves it, then it makes a shadow in C:\Users\SamanthaBobJoeWhatever\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\ in other words, these are virtual copies that APPEAR to be updated, but when you copy the thing won't update because UAC fails to save changes. There's a legit way to test this. Copy to a flash drive, update, recopy, then open it there, and if it's the old one, you're getting save-blocked) and disable the damn thing. This will at least bypass the whole nanny issue, but you're not done yet.
2. See, you haven't taken ownership. Rightclick the folder. Go to Security tab. Hit Advanced. You may see Owner:TrustedInstaller or some crap, which is code for "Windows is trying to father-knows-best on your computer" and we don't want this. Hit Change, and type into that big box Users. No extensions, just Users. Hit OK. Check the box Replace Owner On All Subcontainers And Objects, and check the box Replace All Child Object Permissions. Unless you're on a different OS, in which case it may say this differently.
3. Head back to Security, but this time we're not going into advanced, we're going into Edit. Find the possibly newly made Users on that list. Click on it, and check Full Control, which will give you everything buy maybe special permissions. Hit OK. You should now have given Users (which includes you) ability to save and change files in the rpgmaker folder.

Well, it could be a bug in RMN too. This is why in this little section of downloads, I usually opt to instead save it to URL instead of clicking the upload button. And yes, you can do this retroactively. I will tell you in a sec if that worked, otherwise follow these steps.

Worked! Still, follow these steps. Everyone should own their computer.

Update: I chose Forest Dragon then headed upstairs. It says something about "failed to run bitmap." Check your code some more.

Road To Paradise - The Dragon

Dude that OP song is OP. Too metal.

Also, I didn't get the link to the fixed one, and I just downloaded like two seconds ago. Are you sure you reset everything?

Rule #1: Always test before uploading.

Numina

Yeah. About the only meaningful choice I made was to rush without going to the ceremony. I'd like to be able to prevent the wolves from attacking Aura, at least. And possibly make some kinda choice so Raph's injuries while still serious, don't seem quite so hopeless.

Also, there's a glitch in the cave (and possibly elsewhere). You can flee from the glintworms but then it gives a game-crashing error. Essentially it seems like enemies that come from bumping into them haven't a code for if you run.
