Dragon Age 2

the best DA2 review i have read:
http://www.popmatters.com/pm/review/138283-dragon-age-ii-making-the-case-for-quality-games

on the flipside, the destructoid review (which is, at the very least, not written by bigot retard jim sterling) calls the character interactions of DA:O "subtle and nuanced" which is around the point i stopped reading because i'm assuming it just becomes Origins fanboyism from there

What Videogames Are You Playing Right Now?

i respect XS1 and 2 for trying new things but 3 is really the only "good" one of the bunch

definitely cool game imo (also fantastic soundtrack for the most part)

also anders' actions seem pretty in line with his crazy extremist views to me!

my thoughts exactly

Dragon Age 2

the final boss was pretty cool with everything going on, but i was never in much danger of dying or anything. idk, the difficulty felt sort of lopsided i guess. maybe my fault for doing every single sidequest though!

Dragon Age: Learn It Now

the hardest fight in the entire game for me was the first Varterral fight because you're forced to use Merrill
and i never used Merrill

really most of the earlier boss fights were the hardest for me (as well as those crazy rooms where you get like 4 shades, 2 rage demons, a golem, a desire demon, and a revenant)

meanwhile the Act 3 boss fights, like Hybris or the High Dragon, were honestly kind of laughable

What Videogames Are You Playing Right Now?

the story actually was engaging this time unlike DA:O which was "uh, there's a dragon, probably. you should kill it, but maybe circle the continent a few times first, idk"

which was basically 100% due to the mage/templar conflict and the fact that both sides have reasonable points despite being mad overzealous by the end of the game

fenris is sort of a fantasy-bigot but it seems kind of justifiable i mean jesus you must encounter like 100 blood mages in that game
